The Director, Digital Lab Operations is responsible for leading the operating model and operational excellence of the AbbVie Digital Lab. This role ensures Lab operations run smoothly and the Lab is delivering against Digital Transformation strategy defined by the Head of the Digital Lab. This role operates in a matrixed environment and interacts with senior leaders across marketing, purchasing, finance, etc. This role is the financial steward of the Lab and ensures all teams and projects within the Lab are resourced appropriately. From a culture standpoint, this role leads the Agile Ways of Working both within the Lab as well as with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive our operating model in the most effective way possible.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Digital Lab leadership team to oversee all program management activities related to the AbbVie Digital Lab, including Lab scaling and change management plans
- Define and lead onboarding & training plans for new Digital Brand Teams as they are stood up and for new digital lab team members.
- Provide strategic expertise on business case demand forecasting and resource management for Digital Brand Teams across all Digital Lab functions
- Establish Key Performance Indicators for the Lab to measure and ensure Lab success. Create a dashboard and assess lab performance and capabilities against KPIs to identify and solve improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and increase Lab use & optimization by brand teams
- Oversee plan to drive adoption of Agile ways of working across Digital Brand Teams and broader Lab & US Commercial organization
- Interface with Finance and Procurement to oversee Lab financial plan & budgeting to help the organization optimize costs
- Lead a diverse team of commercial operations professionals. Responsible for coaching, leadership, and career development of team members.
- Lead additional initiatives as defined by Head of the AbbVie Digital Lab and plays a key intermediary role across AbbVie digital transformation effort
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred MBA.
- Minimum 10 years related, operations, project management marketing or digital experience
- Experience scaling an organization utilizing agile ways of working
- Experience leading and managing large scale projects of significant organizational impact
- Ability to influence at executive level and drive substantial organizational change
- Excellent organizational and leadership ability
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead in matrixed environment

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
