Moving mountains together – as Director Controlling R&D Ludwigshafen (all genders) (permanent / full-time)

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to Sr Finance Director R&D.
  • Manage and develop a team of 11, including people managers and analysts.
  • Key contact person for all Ludwigshafen R&D Finance related items.
  • Oversee monthly / quarterly fincancial close, monthly LBES (latest best estimates), annual plan and LRP (long range plans), for all Ludwigshafen R&D financials
  • Provides detailed information and recommendations to R&D Controlling HQ Management for making decisions with potential impacts on global R&D performance.
  • Provide insights to R&D leadership on risks and opportunities based on the understanding of financial results and forecasts, driving AbbVie R&D and Finance strategy.

Qualifications

  • Accounting / Finance Degree Required.
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive and related experience. Experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience in coaching / leading a team.
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management.
  • Ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility.
  • Proficient Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
