Job Description

The Digital Lab Director, Content Operations, is a key cross-functional leader on the Channel Platforms & Content Optimization team. They are responsible for leading a team that explores new channels, pilots’ initiatives, enables and operates newly in-housed enterprise platform capabilities and designs operational processes and operating models. This role supports all franchise groups/brands, AbbVie's Content Velocity priorities, and the Digital Lab's in-housing expansion priorities. They will develop and execute a roadmap for assigned channels, improving capabilities and ensuring flawless execution of business priorities. This leadership role drives strategic and tactical execution within assigned channels, improving process performance and content quality. They interact with senior leaders across the Digital Lab, IT, marketing, purchasing, finance, etc.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead forward-looking visioning as to key capabilities needed within HCP and Consumer teams to drive forward key goals relative to brand imperatives.
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing, Agency partners, data and analytics, and other cross-functional team members to drive product launches and enhancements and ensure that value propositions, messaging, and marketing activities address unique user needs/pain points.
  • Champion and support the Promotional Material medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review process.
  • Champion and support Content velocity and the related work.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies related to Commercial operations, programs, and materials.
  • Identify strategic initiatives to ensure content operations initiatives deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Lead operational efficiency and effectiveness efforts across Marketing, focusing on change management, scalability, best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the Marketing leadership team
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators for the Content Operations team to measure and ensure success. Create a dashboard and assess lab performance and capabilities against KPIs to identify and solve improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and increase Lab use & optimization by brand teams
  • Lead a diverse team of content operations professionals. Responsible for coaching, leadership, and career development of team members.
  • Lead team of Channel and Platform specialists supporting key areas of expanded Lab support for the business who have primary responsibilities to:
    • Oversee the development Plan, Pilot rollout, and installation of new in-house capabilities for newly in-housed channels.  Build the business case for change, identify the KPIs, and successfully prove out the model to take work in-house
    • Oversee the management of the platforms supporting these in-housed channels
    • Assure seamless execution of work taken into the team and managed for those newly defined channels
    • Define the product development process and life cycle from inception to delivery, considering all stages of the process, stakeholders, accountability teams, and compliance-related requirements to be met.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Content Operations team to measure and ensure success. Create a dashboard and assess lab performance and capabilities against KPIs to identify and solve improvement opportunities, drive efficiencies, and increase Lab use and optimization by brand teams.
  • Develop an operations support framework, including SOPs, data dictionaries, and process maps for all operations.
  • Manage all internal and external vendor relationships.
  • Identify and manage resource priorities, work efforts
  • Lead the Agile Ways of Working within the content operations team and with key stakeholders to create a collaborative and connected environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred MBA.
  • Minimum 15 years of related; operations, project management, marketing, or digital experience
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in Digital Content Operation Process.
  • Experience scaling an organization utilizing agile ways of working
  • Experience leading and managing large-scale projects of significant organizational impact
  • Ability to influence at the executive level and drive substantial organizational change
  • Excellent organizational and leadership ability
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead in a matrixed environment

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​
