The Competitive & Strategic Insights (CSI) Director will work closely with the head of Immunology CSI to provide an objective view of the competitive landscape and emerging trends, delivering insights to support the early Immunology pipeline programs (Discovery Research through PoC). This individual will be a strategic partner to Project and Asset Strategy teams, as well as Business Development/Search and Evaluation, Immunology Clinical Development and Corporate Strategy Groups. The individual in this role will have opportunities to influence key decisions to support AbbVie’s Immunology pipeline.
Responsibilities include providing expert competitive analysis on key mechanisms of interest, disease landscapes, competitor clinical trial strategies and clinical target product profiles to support TA Immunology projects and goals. In addition, coverage of disease relevant conferences is required with focus on supporting the early pipeline and strategy and S&E/BD.
Responsibilities:
- Using CI data collection tools and best practices, share expert analysis and insights in a timely manner with key stakeholders and project teams to support decision making and strategic goals
- Attend and summarize new findings from relevant congresses with intent to support the early portfolio and projects and S&E/BD efforts
- Maintain consistency and create synergies across AbbVie assets by maintaining a uniform framework of key deliverables
- Support the development and maintenance of a repository of CI information and insights for TA Immunology that will become a central reference for business partners and teams.
- Bring innovative methodologies and approaches for CI collection, analysis and sharing into the organization
- Operate Competitive Intelligence within AbbVie SOPs and CI policy and highest standard of professional conduct
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree health/life sciences required; Advanced degree (MS, PhD, PharmD) in Life Sciences/Medicine is preferred
- 7-9 years of experience in Pharma/Biotech with 3-5+ years of Immunology CI experience; Immunology research and/or clinical experience is a plus
- Superior analytical skills are required with an understanding of a broad range of CI & market research methodologies
- Strong oral, facilitation, and written communication skills; ability to distill complex information synthesized into concise and impactful messages and communications; PPT and EXCEL proficiency
- Ability to interact effectively with/present to all levels of the organization; Stakeholder management and executive presence

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
