Job Description

The Director, Affiliate Reputation & Corporate Initiatives is responsible for serving as the central strategic support to the affiliates for corporate-related initiatives to optimize AbbVie reputation shaping efforts locally. This role reports to the Director, Enterprise Communications.

 

Responsibilities:

· Serve as the centralized strategic support to our global affiliates for corporate-related initiatives to enable consistent affiliate engagement and pull through for execution.

· Work closely with International Public Affairs and Area leadership to identify affiliate needs and opportunities and lead co-creation efforts to support affiliate execution of corporate initiatives.

· Provide strategic guidance to elevate corporate reputation planning at the country-level and/or adopt, adapt, and execute headquarter corporate reputation efforts depending on affiliates level of resources and priorities.

· Partner with Area teams to build and maintain a consistent forum for corporate and affiliates colleagues to share best practices on effective reputation building efforts and lessons learned.

· Lead with an affiliate-first mindset to work effectively with Corporate Affairs functions and SMEs to provide clear, coordinated guidance and expectations on local activations and KPIs on above brand, corporate reputation initiatives impacting the perception of AbbVie at the country-level.

· Translate Corporate Affairs annual strategic roadmap and select corporate initiatives into affiliate-friendly guidance and materials to ensure they are easily incorporated into affiliate annual planning processes.

· Build a metrics framework to monitor progress on implementation of reputation-related initiatives and contribute to the IPA measurement framework to collect progress, insights, and learnings to inform future corporate initiatives.

· Ensure strong and positive collaboration with International Public Affairs team at HQ and at Area levels to enable coordinated and aligned engagement with Affiliates.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (emphasis in communications, marketing, business, public relations, or journalism preferred).

· 10 years’ experience in a high-level business or communications environment. Experience supporting corporate communications, corporate reputation, or corporate responsibility initiatives.

· Extensive experience developing and executing strategies, demonstrating strategic leadership, and serving as a strategic partner to business counterparts; a strategic thinker who can translate complex ideas into execution and deliver results.

· Track record of developing and executing effective communications campaigns that yield business outcomes.

· A strong understanding of global business needs and how to work successfully across local markets, and an entrepreneurial spirit and comfort forging internal alliances with global colleagues across geographies.

· Exceptional communications skills and the ability to translate impact and opportunities to our business leaders, affiliates, and external stakeholders to enable transparency and demonstrate value.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​
