We are looking for an Integration Engineer, Data Engineers, and Senior Data Engineering Team Leads who want to work in a team-based environment that values people and diversity. The solutions aim to help provide insight into AbbVie’s business and enable our Commercial strategy. This will involve working with programming languages like PySpark, Python, R, and SQL. There is also an opportunity to learn and work with cloud-based technologies like AWS, Snowflake, Dataiku, and more. Our Data Engineers will work collaboratively, as part of an Agile team, alongside Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Marketing, and other business functions to imagine, design, build, and enhance solutions. In these roles you will be responsible to:
- Onboard, consolidate, cleanse, and structure data for efficient use in reports, analytical applications, and machine learning models.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable reusable data pipelines for both streaming and batch requirements.
- Implement data processing and QC (Quality Control) checks across multiple layers of data warehouses.
- Perform data analysis and reconciliation on datasets of varying sizes and complexities.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs (Application Programming Interface).
- As applicable, based on experience, mentor and supervise other data engineers.
Experience that makes you a strong candidate for these roles:
Required
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Data Engineer.
- Experience with programming languages: PySpark, Python, R, and SQL.
- Demonstrable understanding of good development practices.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data management practices.
- Effective written and verbal communications.
