The WWD Business Partner is responsible for engaging with Affiliate BTS BRMs & stakeholders to understand their data needs, collecting & analyzing requirements, and leading data projects that deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. This role serves as a liaison between the Data Engineering, UI, and ML team and various business units as well as Data Product Managers, ensuring alignment between business objectives and data initiatives. The WWD Business Partner will play a key role in fostering a data-driven culture, promoting the use of analytics, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Major Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Communicate the value of data and analytics to various business units and promote a data-driven culture.
- Data Strategy and Planning:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's data strategy.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging data to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with Data/ML Engineers, UI Developers to prioritize and plan data projects.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with ML Engineers, WWD business partners, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements.
- Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed about project progress, challenges, and results.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Requirements Collection and Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements for data projects.
- Conduct thorough analysis to understand the underlying business problems and objectives.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the data analytics team.
- Project Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage data projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and manage project timelines.
- Monitor project progress, address any issues, and ensure successful project completion.
Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree 7 years of experience, Master’s Degree 6 years of experience in Data Engineering
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Lead, Data Engineer, ML Engineer, Analyst or in a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Knowledge / Education Required:
Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of business processes and objectives.
- Ability to translate business needs into data requirements and actionable insights.
Data Expertise:
- Strong understanding of data, data modeling, and the value data can bring to business decisions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex datasets.
- Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools.
Project Management:
- Proven experience in leading and managing data projects.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
