The Copy Supervisor is responsible for copy development and oversight on assigned brand and working closely with Editorial, Art, and Account partners to ensure that clients are satisfied with the quality of our creative work, the value of our services, and our responsiveness to their needs. We are looking for a copy supervisor for an AOR business that is primarily (90%) HCP-facing communications
Creative/Hands-on Work (80%)
- Works with Art partner to produce and present Brave, Authentic, Inspiring ideas and multi-channel tactics
- The lead writer on print, video, and digital projects with minimal supervision
- All copy must be clear, powerful, and free of errors, as well as correctly referenced and annotated
- Manages and works independently, often under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects
- Learning to provide constructive feedback to improve others’ work
- Contributes to development of brand messages
- Participates in client meetings
- Participates in MLR reviews as needed
- Attends market research as appropriate
- Becoming familiar with positioning and strategic process
- Understands that advertising is a service industry that sometimes requires extra time and effort to meet client commitments
Management (10%)
- Manages their own workload and those of direct reports to maximize productivity and maintain billable hours; conscious of financial implications of freelance use when delegating projects
- Works closely with Art, Editorial, Traffic and Project Management to ensure jobs are on track with deadlines and budgets
- Proactively seeks feedback from supervisor and Creative leaders
- Provides written and face-to-face feedback for annual performance reviews, as well as ongoing feedback throughout the year
- Interviews prospective Copy candidates
Leadership (10%)
- Maintains good relationships with clients
- Consistently demonstrates to clients an understanding of assigned brand(s) and relevant marketing challenges, and is responsive to their strategic and creative needs
- Represents the agency at client meetings with other team members
- Presents copy with enthusiasm, internally and externally, to gain buy-in and negotiate changes
- Assures that all supervised copywriters are trained and mentored to maintain the expectations of the agency and the client, and to meet their own career goals
- 5-7+ years’ pharmaceutical advertising agency experience
- BS or BA degree
- A proven track record of creative ability and judgment; successful client contact experience; collaborates successfully with Art and Account; good presentation skills; a strong interest in science and healthcare; understanding of MLR review processes and requirements; strong copywriting skills in all media
- Plus experience, but not required: neuroscience, human anatomy, physician-administered treatment

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.

Pay Range: $
106500 - 202500 USD
Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
