Responsibilities:
List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.
•Accountable for the timely preparation and execution of CDAs, CSAs and budgets and related vendor agreements and point person for their country / region for legal, finance, Site Management and CPD. The SnrCMS will be responsible and/or have oversight for more than one country and/or a Large Business Unit (LBU)
•Negotiation of CDAs, CSAs and Budgets with investigator sites (directly of with support from local monitor where language necessitates), using templates, guidance and legal/budget playbooks, liaising with R+D legal for approval to changes not already described
•Input into legal aspects of Informed Consents, to ensure first pass acceptance or rapid resolution of issues using legal playbook/guidance and/or consulting R+D legal as necessary
•Ensure input is provided for ongoing update of legal and budget playbooks and templates for the countries in their area of responsibility
•Ensure appropriate tracking of CDAs, CSAs, Site Intelligence, KPIs and Metrics.
•Set, manage and communicate priorities to local affiliate stakeholders, legal and finance in alignment with Study plans and priority for start-up.
•Lead process improvement projects for the OUS Contract Management Function and/or be a Subject Matter Expert representing the OUS Contract Management function on process teams with broader impact
•Take on functional responsibility as a “Therapeutic Area Captain” for the global Contract Management function; fostering consistency, SMM alignment and white glove service to internal stakeholders in the relevant TA
•Line management of CMSs / CMAs employees within the Contract Management function.
•Drive for excellence and continuous improvement in delivery of global Contract Management responsibilities, by example and influence within the Contract Management function

Qualifications:
List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification; a Health Care, legal or scientific discipline preferred
•Significant Clinical Research and contract/budget experience. Awareness and understanding of compliance and regulatory matters in clinical research. Experience in cross-functional interactions and working within a global environment an advantage
•Proven negotiation, tact and diplomacy skills
•Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
•Sense of urgency and strong goal orientation; track-record of meeting deadlines and goals
•Experience in line or matrix management an advantage
•Strong written and verbal communication including written and verbal fluency in English and local language (if not English) and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and problem solving
•Proactive and positive team player. Able to maintain high performance during times of ambiguity and changes in the work environment
