Job Description

The Commercial BTS Area Geo Capability Lead will manage an internal organization of Business Technology Managers to technically enable the core digital and data capabilities that drive our commercial processes and support our business transformation.  The team will be responsible of enabling, activating and delivering key solutions for the affiliates in scope (area and timezone) in line and with the Global product roadmap and with the collaboration of the Global Capability / Delivery team.

The lead will play a crucial role in managing digital and data capabilities solutions across a designated region (JAPAC-MEAR). Will collaborate closely with the global team to ensure successful delivery and align portfolio with the specific needs of affiliate within the region. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and an ability to navigate complex requirements in a fast-paced and growing environment.

Key highlights of the role: 
•    Responsible of supporting the vision for region / affiliates in scope of the BTS roadmap and will function as the strategic interface between Affiliate Brand & CEx teams and the Global BTS to lead the establishment of innovative digital solutions and new technologies for consumer and healthcare professional engagement.
•    Proactively serve as a thought leader in this area and functions as a key point of contact for the ecosystem. They are custodians of the ecosystem and will support its evolution through innovation and accelerated pull-through by representing the business needs and advocating global vision. 
•    Owns and facilitates the planning and execution of initiatives in the affiliates and in coordination with Global teams and Area Leads to enable the organization to achieve business objectives through the effective use of the integrated ecosystem. 
•    The team managed by the Capability lead is responsible to communicate technical decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate stakeholders regarding requests, projects and initiatives.
•    Will own the co-creation and co-development of the capabilities based on transformational initiatives aligned with global stakeholders and the acceleration of the enablement of them throughout the different affiliates in scope.
•    Will manage the governance process for new demands, align roadmap, influence decision making at both global and area level.  Will be consulted with new demands, validate and provide guidance and recommendations for new solutions and requirements.  Drives prioritization process based on value, feasibility, capacity and alignment with the global vision.}
•    The team managed by the Capability Lead will own the training and education with the different affiliates Brand BTS.
•    The team managed by the capability team will own the processes of delivering and executing the aligned and prioritized roadmap.

Scope and dimension of responsibilities of the role:
•    Collaborate with the global team to co-create and develop strategies for the adoption and implementation of digital and data capabilities beyond large business units within the designated region.
•    Work closely with the global team to identify opportunities to accelerate the adoption of digital and data capabilities across smaller business units and affiliate offices in the region.
•    Develop and execute plans to ensure the successful implementation and integration of digital and data capabilities across diverse business units, taking into account their unique requirements and challenges.
•    Provide guidance and support to affiliate offices and smaller business units in the region, promoting the benefits and value of digital and data capabilities and facilitating their adoption.
•    Liaise with key stakeholders, including executives and leaders within the global team, affiliate offices, and smaller business units, to gain buy-in and support for the adoption and integration of capabilities.
•    Monitor and evaluate the progress of adoption initiatives, identifying barriers or challenges, and developing strategies to overcome them in collaboration with the global team.
•    Track and report on the success and impact of digital and data capabilities adoption initiatives, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
•    Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities for further acceleration and enhancement of digital and data capabilities adoption.
•    Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders on the status, progress, and impact of digital and data capabilities adoption initiatives.
•    Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including affiliate offices, global team members, and external vendors, to drive project success and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
•    Manage area capability team, focused on delivery and executing the aligned roadmap, involved in the shaping, co-creation, development, integration, enablement and support, with the global teams.
•    Deliver local innovation that can be scaled and integrated into the global ecosystem.  Engage with the global teams to ensure data integration, security and compliance regulations and the enablement of the capabilities in the different affiliates.
•    Collaborate in a larger community of Capabilities to find synergies, leverage expertise and experiences from other regions and identify opportunities to evolve the capabilities as one team.
 


Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
•    At least 10 years of experience in internal/external consulting or in an agency environment
•    Demonstrated experience managing and leading complex, large scale projects with competing deadlines in business/IT consulting/management roles 
•    Sound understanding of the affiliate business model and strategy:
-    Industry & external perspective
-    Influencing & relationship building across departments and organizations
•    Technical expertise and knowledge within CRM, Digital solutions, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics and Data Management.
•    Experience with offshore and outsourced vendors and shared service models for development and support.
•    Requires leadership and influencing skills and experience/in-depth knowledge of the business, business requirements analysis and IT processes.
•    Demonstrated experience in building and managing effective working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, including influencing key senior staff
•    Actively listen to internal stakeholders, to understand their business needs, issues, and opinions
•    Analytical mindset with expertise in redefining the current state of business into the optimal state around business process, strategy and stakeholder experience
•    Ability to work with limited management direction, take initiatives, demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy and to identify and drive resolution of issues.
•    Experience in transversal management and vendor management (incl. agencies).
•    Solid experience in working with Global teams in a Matrix environment.
•    Powerful communicator who inspires excitement and confidence 
•    Quick learner with excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
•    Deals comfortably with risk and ambiguity changing course when needed 

The following are highly desirable areas of competency and knowledge
•    Knowledge and experience of the Commercial technology and digital landscape in Pharma
•    Knowledge of capabilities and technology in pharma ecosystems (CRM, Data, Digital) 
•    Understand business flow of information in systems
•    Understanding of, or preferably experience delivering digital strategies
