Job Description

AA China is the leading company in aesthetic market. As of now, our commercial footprint has covered ~100 cities and over 7,000 hospitals.  AA China is headquartered in Shanghai and has offices in Chengdu, Beijing and Guangzhou.  There are also AMI centers in Chengdu and Shanghai.

Allergan Aesthetics’ Business Consulting Services are provided to medical aesthetics organizations across the world by Business Consultants to help these organizations to grow and optimize their business. China Business Consulting Lead will lead the team to provide business consulting services to MA hospitals in whole China. With the objective to differentiate Allergan China by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, the key services include providing business consulting projects to optimize MA hospitals’ operational model, industry insights across city, province, and region, as well as lead to maximize the value proposition.

In addition, China Business Consulting Lead is responsible for working with the China cross-functional team and International functions to design, adapt / develop business consulting services and activities for China. This role also leads cross-functional teams and external partners to design, adapt and produce materials for the Business Consulting team ensuring that these materials comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements of the program.

This role will lead to build business consulting strategy and collaborate with country leadership teams to communicate activities, to shape the country strategy and operational plans for delivering excellent business services to Allergan Aesthetic’s customers. This role is accountable for the ongoing training of Business Consultants and other internal stakeholders on all aspects of the program, and contributes to defining the international program strategy and identifying opportunities to optimize the delivery of plans.

AA China’s Business Consulting team is facing increasing needs from Aesthetics market for consulting services, and the whole team is expanding the scope to provide educational workshops, quarterly industry report and industrial forum. Therefore, China Business Consulting Lead will have 3 direct reports and is critical to design and align the business consulting strategy internally and externally, as well as to help speeding up the team’s capability to deliver the strategy.

Co-create China Business Consulting Strategy and bridge to the regional strategy

  • Contribute and lead to design the China Business Consulting Strategy
  • Tailor the China Business Consulting Strategy to a suitable strategy considering the maturity of MA hospitals, consumer profiles etc., and secure endorsement from Business Consulting leaders and relevant CLT stakeholders

Lead national events including MA industry forum and White Paper

  • Lead the design and implementation of MA industry forum which is the most important Allergan-owned event to demonstrate Allergan Aesthetic’s commitment and contribution of MA industry development in China

Lead the White Paper project to provide a holistic view of MA industry by leveraging internal and external insights

Lead Business Consulting services

  • Lead the team to deliver Business Consulting services and business educational workshops to MA hospitals
  • Design and implement business projects for accounts on business excellence challenges, including operational prioritization, business optimization etc.
  • Present the results to the account with the practical tools, while maintaining accountability for the key area of improvement.
  • Work with internal/external partners closely to share industry insights, dynamics and trends etc. The sharing may cover regional, provincial, and city level forums and events.

Be a focal person to organize projects (event, industry report…etc.) which are initiated by the BC department, perform the quality control at multiple stages through efficient cross-functional collaboration and vendor management.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Experience working cross functionally in a matrix organization
  • Broad consultancy experience with demonstrable expertise. E.g.: Finance, marketing, operational efficiency, project management, process improvement, marketing, e-learning, training.
  • Strong change management
  • Process design and optimization
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent facilitation and training skills in both group and one-one settings
  • Problem solving including thinking analytically and conceptually – identifying themes and key issues and their impact in a broad business context. Gathering and interpreting information examining component issues to understand causal links between component parts
  • Strategy and business planning – good business and financial acumen
  • Collaborating and influencing others to drive results – working with others to shape plans and deliver results
  • Ability to deliver effective and impactful communications and presentations to customers and Allergan Aesthetics leaders
  • Exceeding customer expectations by identifying customer requirements and expectations as standards to be surpassed
  • Good proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, analytical tools, and database applications
  • Native in Chinese, Fluent in spoken and written English
