Job Description

Purpose
The core purpose of the BU Director Immunology is to lead the commercial operations for AbbVie’s Immunology portfolio, maximising sales revenue through their leadership and alignment to the overall division’s strategy. Leading a large commercial team, BU Director will responsible for directing and developing a diverse set of BUMs, marketing and sales professionals at a number of levels to consistently deliver high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage commercial operations strategy and execution in order to achieve or exceed respective Plan.
  • Full P&L responsibility and effective management for the division: translating business insights into financial assumptions
  • Sales, marketing and medical resource requirements determination for existing and emerging brands
  • Development of new models and structures for our evolving environment, building knowledge of external strategic changes
  • Visionary leadership of the commercial team, growing people and empowering future leaders
  • Having a 360 view of all brands within portfolio: integrating internal and external perspectives
  • Having an in-field mindset and managing matrix interactions effectively. 

Qualifications

Experience & Behaviors

  • Extensive senior sales and marketing experience in an affiliate commercial team.
  • Working knowledge of Immunology is essential.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams successfully
  • Strong track record of in-field leadership with demonstrable results
  • Marketing experience at an Area or Global level strongly preferred.
  • Experience of launching new products.
  • Highly strategic and patient oriented.
  • English language proficiency verbally and in writing.
