The BTS Senior BRM is a pivotal senior individual contributor role within the affiliate BTS organization, serving as the primary strategic bridge between Affiliate Brand Teams, Customer Excellence, core functions, and Geo and Global Commercial BTS teams. Operating as the delegate to the LBU BTS Head, the role shapes and governs the affiliate technology agenda, ensuring commercial strategies are translated into prioritized, value-driven, and compliant technology roadmaps.
Operating in a highly complex and matrixed environment, the BTS BRM Lead partners closely with Affiliate Business Unit Directors, Brand leadership, and Customer Excellence to understand strategic priorities, identify opportunities, and influence technology investment decisions. The role has accountability for affiliate‑level demand shaping, cross‑brand prioritization, portfolio governance, and financial stewardship, while ensuring alignment with enterprise platforms, global standards, and Geo and Global capability roadmaps.
As a member of the Extended Geo BTS leadership community, the BTS BRM Lead represents the voice of the affiliate in Area and Global capability forums, influencing enterprise capability evolution and enabling fit‑for‑purpose local solutions where required. The role focuses on maximizing the value of the affiliate technology ecosystem by activating global solutions to support business needs and business models, supporting adoption, reuse, and innovation to improve value realization, speed to market, and customer impact, and owning end to end local solutions where applicable.
While the role has no direct people management responsibilities, it provides senior craft and thought leadership across the Solution Lead & BRM community by setting standards, coaching, and guiding ways of working. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, the BTS Solution Lead brings an externally informed, forward‑looking perspective on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to commercial priorities, enabling brands to continuously evolve their go‑to‑market models through technology.
Major Responsibilities
- Act as a senior strategic technology advisor to Affiliate Business Unit Directors, Brand leadership, Customer Excellence, and key affiliate functions, shaping how the commercial technology ecosystem enables business strategy, value realization, and competitive advantage.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability and escalation for affiliate commercial technology topics, providing authoritative guidance on complex technology decisions, trade‑offs, and execution approaches in partnership with Geo and Global BTS teams.
- Lead affiliate‑level demand shaping, intake, and cross‑brand prioritization, balancing business value, compliance, cost, capacity, and technical sustainability.
- Define, govern, and continuously evolve the affiliate commercial technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with Global and Geo capability strategies while enabling fit‑for‑purpose local solutions where justified.
- Represent the voice of the affiliate in Area, Geo, and Global BTS capability forums as a member of the Extended Geo BTS leadership community, influencing enterprise roadmap outcomes and ensuring affiliate needs are visible and addressed.
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with Geo BTS Capability teams, Area/Cluster BTS leadership, Corporate BTS services, and external partners to drive alignment, reuse, and effective delivery.
- Provide local product leadership and solution stewardship for affiliate and localized commercial technology solutions, partnering with solution architects and capability owners to shape solution options and design decisions.
- Orchestrate delivery across Geo and Global delivery teams, PMO, and external partners, acting as release sponsor for critical affiliate initiatives and proactively managing dependencies, risks, and escalations.
- Anticipate and manage the business and technology impact of Global and Area capability evolution, ensuring smooth transitions, minimal disruption, and alignment with existing systems and processes.
- Drive adoption and effective use of commercial technology capabilities, partnering with UX, change, and enablement teams to ensure solutions are understood, adopted, and deliver intended business outcomes.
- Articulate and position the value and benefits of BTS solutions, briefing stakeholders and teams on how to maximize the integrated ecosystem and continuously improve value realization through feedback and insights.
- Shape business cases and value hypotheses, supporting business‑savvy decisions related to risk, cost, ROI, and measures of success for affiliate commercial technology initiatives.
- Provide delegated oversight of affiliate technology investment, vendor engagement, and run/change balance within defined financial guardrails.
- Partner with BTS governance teams to ensure compliance with SDLC, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements across all affiliate initiatives.
- Provide craft leadership, coaching, and standards for the affiliate BRM community, enabling BRMs to operate as strategic consultants to the business without direct line management responsibility.
