The Head of Commercial BTS APACMEA is responsible for leading Business Engagement and Commercial capabilities Delivery to over 30 countries in APACMEA Allergan Aesthetics (AA) business.
As a trusted technology partner for APACMEA commercial teams, this leadership role will lead the regional strategy to pull through global and international capabilities to markets, driving process standardization, and operational efficiencies. Together with China BTS, and International Capabilities team, you will also have the opportunity to spearhead unique China BTS strategy with local technology footprint, driving business values to the largest AA affiliate markets outside US.
- Establish business relationships with Senior stakeholders including regional and country leaders, act as a trusted partner on application of technology in sales and marketing area, ensures that demand is prioritized in line with business and customer value streams whilst avoiding technological debt.
- Develop long term BT strategy and Technology roadmap with international BTS organization, ensure it is delivering the value expected, taken into account of organizational impact, technology footprint and international BTS strategy alignment, driving agreed outcome to support AA growth ambitions.
- As a strategic partner, identify key initiatives across different business functions. Drive local Governance framework to prioritize requirements, establish regional portfolio balancing BT portfolio spent, resources and business needs.
- Leverage regional portfolio identified, implement global platforms or co-create with global, area/ local interim solutions that meet business needs. Track adoption with agreed measurable outcomes
- Build investment profiles based on technology roadmap, ensure vigorous financial management and oversight for projects as well as run the business expenses.
- Drive innovation and new technologies in the region, identifying trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Define areas of opportunities to leverage new technologies including global AI and advanced analytics capabilities in the region.
- Manage IT security and compliance risks by defining and operationalizing internal framework in alignment with ISRM, and IS compliance processes and policies, incorporating external policies, regulations and best practices in local affiliates where necessary.
- As Regional Site lead for APACMEA, act as a commercial point of contact for various BTS functions including IAI (Infrastructure and innovations). The cross BTS collaboration ensures all affiliate sites operate efficiently and in alignment with Abbvie global standards.
- “Landing and leading” – work across Abbvie BTS organization and business functions to negotiate and secure the availability of resources to realize change and outcome.
- 15+ years in Technology fields with at least 5 years in a senior management/leadership position. Experience in Pharma, FMCG, or Aesthetics is preferred
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams in a complex, multi-location environment
- Demonstrated experience in driving informed decisions with senior-level management and key stakeholders, through strong influencing skills and effective communication
- Proven record of planning, developing and executing business technology strategy, organization design and development
- Proven as a thought leader in developing strategic vision for the region, aligning International/ Global strategic focus. Effectively communicate BTS value preposition to business stakeholders and across BTS teams. Drive execution to realise business outcomes
- Proven experience in championing digital transformation in a large complex environment, enabling businesses to adapt and evolve their business models through technology solutions
- Extensive experience working with remote teams including global, international, regional and cross-country resources. Experience in performing in a high performing matrix environment with collaboration with cross BTO is required
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding in APAC-MEA business and technology landscape, with good knowledge of China and Japan technology ecosystems
- Knowledge of business processes, and systems environment in pharmaceutical environment, with knowledge of CRM, Marketing Automation, e-commerce, Data and Business intelligence in a life science setting. Good understanding of AI advanced technology like LLM and other generative model is a plus.
- Good experience in managing projects of various scales and complexity. Familiarity with DevOps, SLC, vendor management, and agile/waterfall project environments.
- Exceptional customer engagement and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with internal BTS, cross functional team and senior management in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology concepts to business partners. Proficiency in English, and conversational Chinese is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge compliance and local regulations in the affiliates, with deep insights especially with China CSL including MLPS, CBDT, and PIPL
- Network of internal and external partners to learn and share industry best practices and latest trends, evaluate their potential for improving operational efficiency, process improvement, and driving business outcomes
