Purpose
Implement & monitor the marketing goals & strategies set by the corporate and regional management, targets, and market direction to grow the long-term sales, profit, and market share position for assigned products to meet sales targets and business objectives.
Placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the brand team around a brand vision and objectives that are shared by all members
- Ensure brand team members contribute to the development of the brand strategy thought the band planning process in line with strategy defined by global band team and ensure adequate involvement of multiple functions as relevant for the band objectives
- Continuously encourage BT members collaboration and foster team spirit
- Take accountability and responsibility for brand team activities and processes (Organize/chair/facilitate brand team meeting)
- Build in collaboration with all function a robust brand integrated brand plan for the registered and new asset molecules
- Coordinate and monitor the design and implementation of all marketing activities and include innovative marketing tactics, traditional and non-traditional partnerships, multi-channel opportunities and multi-stakeholder initiatives to meet strategic brand objectives
- Ensure all in-field materials, strategies and tactics are aligned to drive momentum of strategic brand objectives
- Develop, implement, and update product training to sales force on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in planning sales promotion and advertising in support of existing products, and work closely with the Business unit manager in determining market strategies and sales tactics to achieve product objectives
- Monitor competitors’ promo, pricing, product positioning and marketing moves by product / business segment as well as their product line performance and institute corrective action as needed.
- Forecast, monitor brand KPIs, manage budget, track ROI measurements for all marketing activities to achieve or exceed brand plan objectives.
- Secure input and cross stakeholder viewpoints to develop a robust and accurate Patient Journey; propose strategic objectives for the Brand Team review based on Patient Journey findings and challenge and critique Brand Team strategies to ensure patient-centricity
- Work closely with all the key stakeholders and build effective multidisciplinary Brand Teams. Ensure timely and qualitative market intelligence information flow to Brand Teams and brand strategy/tactical communication from Brand Teams to In-Field Teams to optimize brand strategy and its execution.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Medicine.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical experience, with solid marketing/brand management experience.
- Oncology and/or Hematology experience strongly required.
- Proven experience in brand strategy, tactical planning & execution.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytics, forecasting & budget management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Fluent English; Arabic and/or French is an advantage.
- Ability and willingness to work across North Africa markets.
Preferred:
- New product/indication launch experience, particularly innovative oncology therapies.
- Experience with biologics, immunotherapy, bispecific antibodies, ADCs, targeted therapies, or hematologic malignancies innovative therapies.
- Previous experience in companion diagnostics.
- Strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
- Experience working in a multinational pharmaceutical company.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrix environment.
- Regional/multi-country marketing experience.
- Solid understanding of patient journey, market access and healthcare dynamics.
- Digital/omnichannel marketing experience.
- Previous field/sales experience.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
