Job Description

As a Brand Manager in AbbVie Neurology Team you enrich the patient/ -and HCP experience by working closely with the IFT, while acting as the Brand Team channel expert to guide campaign development and insight gathering across all stakeholder groups.

  • Lead development & propose Marketing inputs to the Brand Plan with a patient-centric focus.
  • Lead the tactical design and implementation of Marketing initiatives, to include:
  • Innovative tactics to deliver holistic solutions,
  • Multi-channel opportunities to strengthen campaigns,
  • Multi-stakeholder initiatives,
  • Interactive and customized content for CLM,
  • Ensure a Brand Story is defined and consistently used/referenced by the Brand and In-Field Teams.
  • Bring the Brand Story to life through Marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Coordinate market research and insights collection to inform the Patient Journey.
  • Synthesize cross-stakeholder insights to form a Marketing perspective on Brand issues, competitive positioning and market dynamics.
  • Provide input to forecasting and KPI monitoring; support budget planning and tracking for Marketing team activities.
  • Lead efforts to strengthen Brand Team insights through digital listening and new channel research.
  • Optimize channel mix for Marketing and cross-functional campaigns; advise others on the optimal use of channels.
  • Play an active role with the IFT, managing the CLM process and overseeing implementation of CLM activities.
  • Develop segment profiles and drive development of customized materials to each target segments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of customer perspectives through regular engagement with stakeholders (e.g. in-field visits).
  • Leverage strong analytical skills.
  • Identify where non-traditional partners can help meet Strategic Objectives; assess potential partners and manage collaborations.
  • Play and active role as member of the Brand Team.
  • Share best practices with peers locally and globally.
  • Operate within the guidance of all appropriate division and statutory business and regulatory requirements, including Ethics, Compliance and Code of Business conduct procedures and protocols.

Qualifications

  • University degree in marketing, economics or other relevant discipline,
  • Fluency in German and English (proficiency in French will be an asset),
  • Relevant experience in a marketing role within the Pharmaceutical industry, experience within other industries (consumer, media, digital etc.) are a valuable asset,
  • Understanding of the health care environment, the market, the full range of customer and stakeholder needs as well as issues related to the therapy area,
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven mindset,
  • Sound knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry business, policies and procedures as well as core financial processes,
  • Ability to translate strong patient empathy into patient-centric strategic plans and tactics including focus effectively on tailoring messages to target audience,
  • High level of customer understanding and focus,
  • Ability to effectively manage projects to ensure successful delivery of  marketing-led initiatives,
  • Ability to achieve results in cross-functional teams: takes ownership of work and effectively coordinates tasks,
  • Ability to leverage relationships with other affiliates, area and global leaders and internal/external stakeholders,
  • Ability to develop appropriate solutions to complex problems.
