Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented B2C E-Commerce Product Owner to drive the strategy and execution of our online retail experience. You will be responsible for defining and prioritizing features that enhance customer satisfaction, drive revenue, and align with our overall business goals. This role requires a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, customer behavior, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable product requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for business leaders.
  • Partner with marketing and commercial teams to develop long-term strategies and implementation plans.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap for the B2C e-commerce platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (marketing, sales, UX, engineering, customer support) to gather and document detailed product requirements.
  • Utilize data and customer insights to prioritize features and bug fixes based on impact and feasibility.
  • Monitor key metrics (conversion rate, average order value, bounce rate, etc.) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion test and learn initiatives to optimize product features and the customer journey.
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating with Service Desk, BTS internal and external support partners to ensure best in class support for all applications and processes for commercial business unit(s)
  • PMO and project management including forecasting resource demand and capture of business requirements.

  • Be a Strategic thinker: Understands and contributes to the business unit strategy and translates business strategy in an aligned portfolio of program roadmaps, projects, and applications. Champions change and innovation by stimulating creativity and innovation in others.
  • Have a Strong Business Acumen: Understands the retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, eCommerce space to positively influence business decisions and business needs.
  • Experienced in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware): Considered an expert in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) solution to implement various consumer eCommerce sites.
  • Possess strong Project Management & Negotiation skills: Strong Agile project management skills with ability to effectively negotiate and manage scope.

***This is a hybrid position and would require individuals to be onsite 3 days a week in Irvine, CA. 


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; Master's Degree with 7 years of experience; PhD with 3 years of experience. Experience includes business analysis, project management, portfolio management, and strategic planning. 2+ years of experience managing or coaching employees.
  • 3+ years of IT experience in large or midsized multinational corporation
  • 3+ years of experience with leading multiple projects / implementations simultaneously.
  • Experience in setting IT strategy and business IT alignment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trusting relationships.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills to bring different people or groups together to solve business challenges.
  • Experience in building eCommerce product roadmap and executing on these feature enhancements.
  • Interest in technology trends and application of technology to improve end user’s experience. Proven track record of effective project leadership and positive results. Ability to self-manage time and priorities.

Beneficial:

  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and/or Shopify platforms
  • Working experience in integrating eCommerce / Salesforce OMS with an ERP system like SAP.
  • User experience / User Interface designs concepts and familiarity with tools like Figma, Miro etc.
  • Experience with GxP validation and SLC.
  • Experience with vendor management.  Evidence of participation in strategic industry forums.
  • Experience with supporting Salesforce Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience in integrating Amazon FBM / FBA models or similar marketplace selling.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master within an agile development team.
  • Experience in integrating with various payment providers such as Stripe, Afterpay, Chase etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Clarity.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor direct reports.
