Job Description

The In Vivo Pharmacology Department in South San Francisco is seeking an Associate Scientist I level scientist with experience in in vivo pharmacology with a focus in study execution in various mouse models of cancer.  The main role will involve conducting in vivo research studies. The in vivo research studies require involvement including tumor implantation, and data collection, analyses and presentations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Execute in vivo studies involving CDX (cell line derived), PDX (patient derived), and disseminated models, etc. for various cancer subtypes
  • Evaluate novel cancer therapeutics in vivo through studies such as efficacy, PK, and tolerability
  • Independently lead aspects of projects or workflows
  • Collect and process tissue/blood samples
  • Prepare compound formulations and dose animals
  • Analyze and report data regularly at team meetings

Qualifications

  • BS degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Technical expertise in in vivo mouse experimentation, including health monitoring, tumor implantation, tumor measurements, dosing via IP, IV, SC, PO routes, and blood/tissue collection
  • Experience with mouse models of cancer, including CDX (cell line derived) and/or PDX (patient derived) xenograft models
  • Excellent laboratory, record keeping, data analysis, and critical thinking skills
  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time-management skills enabling efficiency and independence

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
