Purpose:
The primary objective of this position is to provide financial leadership and business support for the Parkinson’s Disease franchise. Specifically, this position is responsible for financial planning and analysis related to Plan, Update, LBE and LRP, decision-making support and recommendations to Senior Management taking into consideration market dynamics, market share, market access and resourcing and strategic projects related to aPD brands. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements and staff development as required.
Responsibilities:
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual Plan, LRP and LBEs as required, ensuring accurate and timely integration of sales forecast, pricing and investment resourcing, ensuring senior management input to meet overall division/corporate calendar deadlines. This includes Sales, P&L, headcount forecasts, using planning system and incorporates review changes of both financial and operating management.
- Strategic partner for target functions - provide clear and concise narrative, robust financials and deliverables that can be reviewed with Executive management.
- Work closely with business partners and cross-functional stakeholders, to develop models that accurately incorporate market dynamics including market share and market access.
- Assist in asset launch preparation: work closely with business partners to ensure adequate and appropriate resourcing levels to successfully launch new assets.
- Coordinate supply chain related topics, coordinate preparation of ADS, and support ad hoc analysis as required such Min/Max volume for S&OP.
- Decision Support/Special Projects - provide analyses for ad hoc or other business presentations that lend insight into key business drivers enabling operating management to adapt more appropriate tactics/strategy to meet the LRP objectives, support quarterly earning preparation, and companywide initiatives.
- Staff Development – Responsible for delegating to and coaching a staff of employees to ensure an optimal level of support to the business and provide coaching and career development opportunities to sustain a high performing staff.
- Individual is expected to successfully perform all responsibilities with a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy
Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
Qualifications:
- Requires 7-10 years progressive FP&A experience in the pharma industry.
- Management experience & focus on development of direct report and extended staff.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Ability and desire to proactively search out and evaluate business problems and opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, able to summarize complex business dynamics into deliverables for executives.
- Ability to operate independently, lead multiple processes and meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
- Capability to direct efforts to achieve answers and results.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analysis within a broad framework of AbbVie’s financial policies (CFMs), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Technical skills, knowledge of systems such as PowerBI, BPC.
- Preferred: MBA in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA/CMA.
- Bachelor’s or Master´s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
- Multi-division experience and knowledge of the financial planning process.
