Job Description

People Leadership

  • Oversee development and execution of skill development plans for ~11 Psychiatry Account Executive (PAE) direct reports.  Deliver consistent coaching and direction via field-travel and engagement with PAEs during business and key account planning discussions.  Evaluate execution of strategic and tactical franchise priorities for each direct report and generate effective plans to insure performance of PAE’s to behavioral expectations in support of organizational objectives.
  • Lead partnership, communication and collaboration across key internal cross-functional partners (sales, marketing, market access) to insure highly effective, coordinated execution of Abbvie Psychiatry and PAE core priorities.  Monitor and enhance in-field partnership with FAE Team with clarity on PAE roles and responsibilities. 
  • Actively lead engagement of direct reports and IFT partners to elevate PAE organizational Inclusion and Culture goals.

Business Strategy (Analysis, Planning, Execution)

  • Partner with Federal Account team to manage and identify key target account opportunities within the VA. Develop product strategies to fully and consistently penetrate these accounts.
  • Advise sales and marketing management with appropriate direction on challenges and opportunities within key target accounts. Analyze and supports channel specific training needs within the team.
  • Develop an annual business plan with goals and objectives to increase sales volume and market share in Institutional setting and VA. Identify additional opportunities and threats across the channel and develop/modify business plans accordingly. Anticipate change and take proactive measures to address.
  • Understand and effectively utilize a broad range of financial and quantitative data and analyses. Assess business impact of target accounts and channel opportunity to include overall profitability and impact on sales.
  • Work with peers in Market Access, Federal and Government Teams to understand the changing Healthcare Landscape and proactively identify potential health system opportunities and conceptualize solutions using creativity and innovation within approved standards and resources.
  • Lead analysis and application of data in coordination with direct reports, to inform business understanding and strategic planning and execution in order to achieve sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced analytical, coaching, direct people leadership, communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting business.
  • Ability to examine complex business environment and develop/execute plans in response to market and account opportunities.
  • In-depth experience working within large accounts and across Matrix teams strongly preferred.

Please note that candidates can live anywhere in the US, with preference to work location being AbbVie's corporate headquarters in Lake County, IL or Madison, NJ.
