AbbVie Patient Services Training is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director to lead training and ongoing learning supporting the Co-pay Center Excellence. This leadership role will oversee the strategic direction and operational execution of the team’s training initiatives, including managing a team of training professionals and ensuring alignment across Access and Affordability, HUB, Patient Engagement and AAS Team. The Associate Director will play a critical role in developing and implementing innovative training programs that drive consistent and successful implementation of Co-pay COE strategy and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive training and development strategy in alignment with the goals of the Co-pay Center of Excellence.
- Ensure training programs are responsive to the needs of the business, maintaining a focus on high-quality deliverables and measurable outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of training professionals, ensuring they have the resources and support to perform effectively.
2. Overseeing Training Programs:
- Ensure training materials and curriculum are current, relevant, and aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement a variety of training delivery methods, including e-learning, in-person workshops, webinars, and blended learning solutions.
3. Integration with the Affordability Team:
- Collaborate closely with the APS Training Affordability lead to ensure training initiatives support overall business objectives.
- Engage in strategic planning to align training programs with broader organizational goals.
- Facilitate communication and cooperation between training and strategy teams to ensure coherence and synergy.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish metrics for assessing the effectiveness and impact of training programs.
- Conduct regular evaluations and feedback sessions to continuously improve training offerings.
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about future training initiatives.
- Partner with Quality analyst to evaluate areas of opportunity for continued improvement
5. Ensuring Compliance and Consistency:
- Guarantee that all training programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and internal policies.
- Promote consistency in messaging across all training materials and sessions to reflect AbbVie’s standards and values.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
6. Ensuring Consistent Messaging
- Ensure consistent messaging across Patient Engagement and AAS. This involves coordinating with these teams to align on communications, ensuring that all patient interactions reflect accurate and uniform information regarding our products, services, and support programs.
- Act as a key liaison between the copay program management team and the AAS Team, ensuring prompt communication and updates regarding any changes or updates to the copay design. Ensure all modifications are accurately relayed to the brand team and that the field sales teams are well-informed to maintain seamless operations and consistency in messaging to our customers.
7. Budget Management:
- Manage the budget for the training and development department, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
- Make recommendations for investments in new training technologies and tools to enhance learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Business, Healthcare, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in training and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry or similar experience.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the healthcare sector.
- Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in modern training technologies and methodologies.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
