Job Description

The Oncology Market Access Marketing Associate Director, DECNUPAZ Associate Director, leads payer-strategy activities that help ensure seamless patient access to the brand. This role integrates market access insights into cross-functional and financial strategic decisions while building the evidence, partnerships, and operational readiness required for effective launch execution and sustained brand performance.

Key Responsibilities

Core/Primary Responsibilities: Access Monitoring, Launch Execution, and Strategic Decision-Making

  • Monitor the payer policy landscape and produce regular policy updates and communications in partnership with market access analytics teams.
  • Track account activation and launch-readiness metrics; synthesize field insights; and provide regular reporting to commercial leadership and executive business reviews.
  • Represent Market Access in cross-functional brand governance forums, including brand team meetings, annual strategy and planning, long-range planning, and latest best estimate forecasting, to ensure access realities inform strategic and financial decisions.
  • Lead a recurring cross-functional access forum to proactively identify, prioritize, and resolve access challenges and opportunities.
  • Support the development and finalization of channel-specific strategies, including community oncology and group purchasing organization (GPO) strategies, in partnership with brand and market access leadership.

Secondary Responsibilities: Building the Evidence and Execution Foundation for Future Planning Cycles

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to plan and execute advisory boards that generate insights for future brand and market access strategy.
  • Manage budget stewardship and vendor or agency processes, including scope-of-work submissions and optimization of available funds.
  • Partner with market access analytics and research teams to build evidence bases, including market research, that support future tactical execution.

Additional Responsibilities: Informing Future Strategic Engagement

  • Support research and evaluation of conference and congress engagement opportunities to inform future brand presence and stakeholder-engagement strategy.

Scope & Remit

The Payer Strategy Associate Director serves as a strategic Market Access representative across the brand and enterprise. The role influences cross-functional and financial decisions by translating payer, channel, and access realities into actionable recommendations, priorities, and operating plans.

  • Collaborates across Market Access, Brand, Finance, Trade, Medical, and external vendors and agencies, representing the market access point of view in decision-making forums.
  • Owns defined operational cadences, including weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reporting, governance meetings, and cross-functional access forums.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required to enable this individual to demonstrate an appropriate level of business acumen, the ability to process scientific information and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand clinical aspects of a pharmaceutical product and its application to marketing strategy and tactical execution.
  • 5-7 years of marketing or market access experience required
  • Previous experience supporting HCP-administered assets.
  • Knowledge of the Commercial and Medicare FFS aspects of the Medical Benefit and associated utilization management and reimbursement dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Oncology experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • 3 years of US Market Access experience preferred
  • Pre-launch activities and Market Access launch experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial planning and analysis
  • Master’s Degree
