Job Description

Make your mark:

  • Provides leadership to the Allergan Aesthetics Medical Affairs team including management, coaching, training and professional development support.
  • Develops and implements the Allergan Aesthetics medical plan in alignment with global medical strategies, country-specific commercial imperatives and clinical needs.
  • Forges strategic partnerships with the medical communities and professional organizations impacting AbbVie/Allergan Aesthetics business and patient outcomes.
  • Develops professional relationships and partnerships with key academic and clinical opinion leaders within aesthetics.
  • Facilitates evaluations of investigator-initiated research and education proposals.
  • Enhances AbbVie/Allergan Aesthetics scientific presence by attending relevant national, regional and international conferences.
  • Responsible for promotional and non-promotional materials medical review and approval, according to Global and Local SOP
  • Acts as strong cross-functional partner within the Allergan Aesthetics Leadership Team
  • Ensures the company's medical activities are of high scientific quality and coordinated to meet country and corporate objectives within the appropriate laws and industry codes of practice.
  • Develops and manages medical affairs budget within established parameters.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree or Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical industry and general knowledge on drug development and clinical research. 
  • At least 3-5 years in a Medical Affairs/MSL role in a matrix organization
  • People management experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and educate on scientific evidence and clinical features of medical condition(s); experience in Aesthetics Medicine is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Managerial and entrepreneurial skills, with high motivation to partner with scientific leaders and the leadership team
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach, able to develop and support relationships across an organization. Experience being an active contributor to cross-functional teams and/or working in matrix organizations will be an advantage. 
  • Problem-solving and decision-making: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges effectively. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and in complex situations
  • Fluent in English and German, both verbal and written
