The Associate Marketing Director leads strategic planning and execution of key marketing pillars such as: brand story, positioning, segmentation, creative, and messaging with a key focus on the Health Care Provider (HCP). They will spearhead all marketing initiatives from strategic development to full tactical roll-out including appropriate approval processes. The Associate Director works closely with multiple commercial operation departments to ensure success in product launch, support, and sales execution. Internally, the AD will foster positive working relationships with the field team, medical affairs, market research, sales training, patient services, competitive intelligence, and other cross franchise teams. They will have the opportunity to lead and coach a team of marketing managers. Externally, the AD works with various agencies, consultants, and physicians to successfully drive the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketer seeking to coach a high performing team committed to making a difference for patients in ultra rare hematology space.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop strategy and tactics that align to the strategic brand plan primarily for HCP marketing and nonpersonal promotional activities for upcoming product launch.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate promotional programs and marketing activities to achieve product sales objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze all sources of company and industry sales and marketing data.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop Marketing Managers to become high-performance brand team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders where appropriate.
  • Proactively support the field team through ongoing communications of product plans, as well as thorough development and implementation of effective selling materials.
  • Conduct routine field travel with the field team, participate in market research and patient immersions to better understand market drivers and dynamics of our consumers and health care providers.
  • Manage internal/external networks, consultants, and agency partners.
  • Perform budget tracking.

Qualifications

Basics:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on marketing involving project/agency management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of principles of market research to draw valid conclusions.
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts within strategic planning process.
  • Leadership skills and fucus on developing marketing managers
  • Strong analytics with excellent overall business acumen including budget planning and management.
  • Concept of budget development and management for marketing programs and tactics.
  • Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results through influencing others.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate quickly and influence in a fast-paced, matrixed, and demanding environment.
  • Willingness to be dynamic, wear different hats, and adapt to changes when warranted
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with senior management and external partners
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred:

  • Brand marketing/launch experience in pharmaceutical marketing or sales
  • Account focused sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology
  • Ultra rare disease experience
  • Oncology/hematology experience
  • Digital and omni-channel marketing experience
  • Operating in a budget constrained environment and making tough calls on trade-offs
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to build new organizational capabilities
  • MBA or Graduate Degree

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this postingbased on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more orless than the posted range.   • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
