Job Description

The Commercial Market Access Pricing Organization is responsible for the execution and management of the commercial agreements with U.S. Private Payers for the entirety of AbbVie’s branded product portfolio.  These Commercial Contracts exceed $39Bn in gross sales and manage over $17Bn in Gross to Net Rebate processing. The Associate Direct, Market Access Contracting supports the contract management of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Manager Regional Accounts customers for the portfolio and the corresponding operational processes associated with these relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Market Access strategic objectives by managing commercial contracting processes in line with pricing policies and procedures
  • Oversee rebate claim analysis, invoice validation, dispute resolution, and payment within required timelines
  • Maintain, process, and track contracting requests, including term extensions, amendments, and restatements
  • Monitor governance processes and ensure compliance as contracts move through the system
  • Manage, analyze, and validate all aspects of rebate payments
  • Review contract compliance and assess performance against contractual objectives
  • Perform actual-to-plan reconciliations and support Plan/Update/LBE/LRP schedule development
  • Provide routine and ad hoc financial analysis, including quarterly balance sheet review support
  • Ensure rebate payments comply with OEC and government pricing calculation requirements
  • Use Model N and related systems to support accurate and efficient rebate processing
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Government Pricing, third-party rebate processors, Market Access Marketing, and Sales leadership
  • Lead analysis of Market Access contracts across Commercial, Medicare, Managed Medicaid, and Health Exchange channels, with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or business required.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience required.
  • Ability to work independently and lead change to drive business goals.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including content development and strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and shifting demands under tight timeframes.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to translate broad direction into high-quality analytical output.
