Purpose
As a data visualization and artificial intelligence expert for the Factory of the Future, your responsibilities would include strategy development for data gathering and visualization as well as opportunities for Artificial Intelligence (AI) use within manufacturing.
You will understand data visualizations and AI technology and tools to provide meaningful insights into complex business challenges.
Collaboration with teams to understand data requirements, troubleshoot data-related issues and stay abreast of tools and techniques are key aspects of the role. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into usable visual formats and tools are essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.
- Identify trends and opportunities for growth of AI tools within manufacturing enviroments
- Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets.
- Develop Factory of the Future strategies around AI and data visualization.
- Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
- Work directly with sites and global teams to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.
- Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and objectives.
- Analyze and assess data quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data acquisition and visualization.
- Implement and optimize data processing workflows to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics and 6+ years of professional work experience, preferably with experience in database and model design and segmentation techniques
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.
- Possesses a strong technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures. Works on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data involves multiple competing factors. Exercises judgment and advises management as to the appropriate actions.
- Interacts well with diverse groups within engineering and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
- Listens to and understands others' points of view and articulates tactfully and respectfully one's own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations.
- Interacts well with diverse groups across corporation and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators. Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences, while optimizing overall organizational goals.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
