Job Description

Strategic Project Planning and management 20%

  • Research, analyze, and evaluate pharmaceutical policies and market/competitive trends to identify opportunities
  • Support development of affiliate-level strategies, including driving key analysis
  • Formulate and implement the marketing strategy for the company's products to capture early access opportunities in Greater Bay Area/Bo’ao, including market entry strategies, partnership building, and marketing activities.
  • Monitor market performance and analyze data to adjust strategies to ensure achievement of business goals.
  • Input and update forecast data, collect and explain the main assumptions for forecast

 

GBA product launch and business operation management 60%

  • Lead cross-functional teams to assist in product registration, approval and compliance processes, and accelerate the product launch process, etc according to GBA regulations.
  • Present product and marketing programs to Senior Management
  • Monitor and evaluate all marketing activities that are in-line with the positioning of the products, make the necessary adjustments to adapt to market change
  • Drive product positioning and competitive strategies as well as provide leadership in managing the logistics, market share and revenue of the product
  • Lead the cross-function team to develop and execute product education and promotional activities to effectively communicate the strategic positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers
  • Integrate and optimize resources. Determine and manage the allocation of product budget to maximize ROI
  • Manage marketing and sales aid/promotional materials and theirs development for Field Sales to effectively establish product branding and messaging as well as efficient promoting
  • Work with other function management team to ensure the cross functional alignment of product strategies
  • Work with Medical team and other cross functions to create and develop the marketing materials including evidence-based messages, clinical tools, product slides, handbook, etc
  • Manage national level KOLs in GBA by coordinating with relevant professional associations, internal Medical Department, local sales management to build, strengthen and develop relationships, trustworthy and mutual understanding in therapeutic area (TA) related initiatives
  • Coordinating cross function communications in brand related activities
  • Bridge brand related communications with the brand team in HQ

Internal & External Stakeholder Management 20%

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives including external customers, BU, KA, MA, OEC, Legal, Hongkong affiliate, Logistics, Public Affairs, Executive Management and external vendors or agencies.
  • Lead interacting with global marketing lead in respective TAs.
  • Act as a sparring head to establish and maintain good relationships with government departments, industry associations, and local partners to obtain policy support and market information.
  • Inspire cross-functional project team to achieve business goal with the mindset of All for One AbbVie and Growth Mindset, esp in VUCA situations.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION:      Master degree and above, major in Pharmacy, Medicine or Marketing. MBA is a plus
  • Industry experiences: Minimum 10 years working experience in Pharmaceutical industry
  • Position experiences:
        • 7+ years of Marketing experience in Pharma industry.
        • Experience in Launch planning, Greater Bay Area/Boao Early access are plus
        • Sales management experience in Pharma industry is a plus
  • Mobility: Willing to travel frequently
  • Other Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for pharmaceuticals
  2. Good understanding of business and product knowledge with marketing sense
  3. Demonstrated leadership and success in project management
  4. Strong communication and presentation skills with excellent high-level stakeholder management
  5. Strong business analytical skills
  6. Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic projects
  7. Autonomy/Independence, Assertiveness; a polished professional presence is essential
  8. Self-motivated, creative and well organized
