Job Description

AbbVie have an opportunity for an Assembly Operator to join our Westport Site on a 6 Month Fixed term contract. This role will require a candidate who is flexible and willing to do shift work which may require evenings and Nights.

The Assembly Operator at the AbbVie Westport facility will hold responsibility for manufacturing activities in support of all Occular Implants from labelling components, assembling the applicator, inspecting the final product and cleaning. You will be working in an Aseptic environment within a clean room level C with Gowning to Grade A level so the ability to wear PPE is essential. 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Work with the  Manager on the delivery of the company production requirements for the site. 

  • Maintain strong relationships with management and colleagues in the business units, support functions and the quality site and global functions.  Articulate the necessary manufacturing requirements in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner. 

  • Provide input as required, providing direction on day-to-day activities as a member of the site manufacturing team. 

 


Qualifications

  • Leaving cert or equivalent qualification required. 
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work within cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong communication and presentations skills, both written and oral. 
  • Aptitude to Plan & Organise work schedules with an analytical mindset. 
  • Good decision making to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities whilst providing a viable solution. 
  • Adaptability to work in a fast, dynamic environment whilst adjusting readily to meet unexpected constraints. 
  • Drive, high energy, maturity, and ability to work under pressure, deliver results, and overcome obstacles.
