Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement BU strategic plans: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the commercial team's vision, mission, and long-term goals. Translate these into actionable strategies and initiatives that align with the BU's overall objectives.
- Conduct research and analysis: Identify industry trends, competitor analysis, and market conditions to understand the BU’s position and potential opportunities or threats. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and develop strategic recommendations. Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in strategic planning. Stay informed about changes in the business environment that may impact the BU strategic direction.
- Facilitate strategic planning processes: Lead cross-functional teams in strategic planning workshops, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative activities. Facilitate discussions to generate innovative ideas, challenge assumptions, and align different perspectives towards a common strategic direction.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on strategic matters. Present findings, analysis, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with other departments, such as finance, SFE, medical, trade, KA…, to ensure alignment between strategic plans and the organization's capabilities and resources.
Global strategic projects
- Develop and implement global strategic projects: Collaborate with global and affiliate’s key stakeholders to define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Develop project plans, identify milestones, and track progress to ensure successful implementation.
- Establish project governance: Define project governance structures, roles, and responsibilities to ensure effective decision-making, risk management, and communication. Establish project charters, scope statements, and change management processes to ensure alignment with the organization's overall strategy and objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams: Build and lead cross-functional teams that include subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders from global and affiliate. Ensure that all team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and timelines, and collaborate effectively to achieve project goals.
- Communicate project status: Provide regular updates on project status to senior management and other stakeholders. Ensure that project communication is timely, accurate, and effective, and that stakeholders are kept informed of project progress, risks, and issues.
New Product Planning (eg. Skyrizi NPP Bridge)
- Coordinate cross-functional teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, operations, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and coordination throughout the new product launch process. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Develop launch plans: Develop comprehensive launch plans that outline the objectives, strategies, timelines, and resources required for a successful product launch. Identify key milestones, dependencies, and risks, and develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
- Coordinate product development activities: Work closely with product development teams to ensure that product differentiation and value to meet customer expectations and market needs. Provide feedback and guidance to commercial team based on market insights and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams: Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute marketing strategies, pricing, and promotional activities for the new product launch. Coordinate the development of marketing materials, sales collateral, and training programs to support the sales team.
- Conduct market research and analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Analyze data and insights to refine product positioning, messaging, and target market strategies.
Business Excellence
- Develop and implement business excellence strategies: Collaborate with BUD to define the organization's business excellence needs and strategies. Develop and implement action plans to drive continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve business objectives.
- Identify improvement opportunities: Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and practices to identify areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and gaps in performance.
- Drive change management and implement performance metrics: Develop change management strategies and plans to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives. Communicate the need for change, address resistance, and provide training and support to employees to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new processes or practices. Establish tracking mechanisms and reporting systems to monitor performance, identify trends, and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new methodologies related to business excellence. Evaluate their potential impact on the organization and recommend relevant strategies for adoption.
- Conduct assessments and audits: Perform regular assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of business processes, systems, and practices. Identify areas of non-compliance, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement and develop corrective action plans.
Industry experiences: Minimum 15 years working experience in Pharmaceutical industry
Position experiences:
- Around 10 years of marketing/strategy team management experiences in the multinational
- Minimum 2-3 years sales management background is preferred
- Experience in IMM and ONC etc. is a plus
Language Skills: Fulent in English both oral and written
Computer Skills: Working knowledge, especially good at Excel and PowerPoint
Mobility: Willing to travel frequently
