Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, LATAM Region, this role will support him in liaising with local finance teams and Country Managers of the LATAM Region to secure information and then consolidate the results for plans, forecasts and actuals to provide accurate, timely and informative data to support the decision making needs of the leadership team. The candidate will also be the planning lead for shared costs for the region and be a focal point for controls and compliance.

The candidate will be responsible for managing one FP&A Sr. Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

Forecasting, Budgeting, Strategy planning:

  • Lead the financial planning & reporting processes including design of templates & processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Timely address of queries from various stakeholders.
  • Analyze performance (tracking revenue & expenses regularly) and provide variance explanations and recommendations for operational efficiency and provide business counseling to relevant stakeholders, with the objective of adding value to the business.
  • Understand, communicate and explain variance within the business. Identify root causes and follow up actions for each.
  • Advise business teams on process-related matters that arise.
  • Act as primary liaison with line of business finance teams and JAPAC consolidations team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information.

Consolidation of Forecast / Plan:

  • Design, implement and maintain meaningful presentations of the consolidated data with appropriate comparisons and commentary
  • Preparation of slide decks of business forecasts and results for Senior management
  • Lead 5 Year Plan & annual budget consolidations process, working closely with the lines of business finance teams
  • Focal point for implementing and maintaining the Consolidations & numbers accuracy in Longview, investigate and resolve issues arise.
  • Act as the point person for consolidations with respect to queries and analysis requests from various quarters.

Business Partnering:

  • Partner with the LATAM Region commercial leadership to drive commercial / financial objectives by leading Regional or country-specific projects.

Ad-hoc Projects, Process Improvement and Expense Efficiency:

  • To take leadership or to provide supports towards any business or finance projects as they arise.
  • To provide leadership to the LATAM Region finance teams to drive excellence in FP&A outputs
  • To identify and drive continuous process improvement, particularly in the area of financial planning.
  • To identify and drive continuous process standardization and simplification to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years progressive working experience with a MNC.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of culturally and functionally diverse peoples and to participate as member of senior management team.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to diverse audiences, at multiple levels, through various format.
  • Demonstrated ability to comfortably work in a fast growing and dynamic environment and passionately support the development of a high performance and dynamic organization.
  • Demonstrated strong compliance and  integrity mindset.

Education:

  • Degree in Accounting/Commerce
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) holder
  • Computer literacy
    • Experience in using SAP
    • Experience in using LongView/TM1
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Offices, Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Language literacy
    • English (Oral and written)
