Our Commercial Early Talent programme offers two pathways in either our Therapeutics division or our Allergan Aesthetics division.
Both are designed to give you the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work, learn from experienced colleagues and gain exposure to different areas of the business from day one. The programme's are designed to accelerate your development, build your industry knowledge, and prepare you for a successful commercial career in AbbVie.
You'll join us in September 2027 on a two-year fixed-term contract, employed through our third-party recruitment partner, SRG.
Therapeutics Pathway
Our Therapeutics business is focused on innovative medicines across immunology, oncology, neuroscience and other areas of unmet need.
Programme highlights:
Year 1:
You'll begin your journey in one of the following commercial areas:
- Marketing: Support campaigns, product launches and customer communications while learning how healthcare brands are positioned and grown
- Customer Excellence: Use data, insight and digital channels to help improve customer experiences and support business performance
- Market Access: Learn how medicines reach patients by exploring healthcare systems, NHS policy and access to treatment
Location: You must be able to commute to our Maidenhead office
Year 2:
You'll join our field team in a location to be confirmed in the UK:
- In-Field Sales: Build relationships with healthcare professionals across your region while developing your commercial skills and knowledge of the healthcare industry
Please note that flexibility regarding location may be required as part of the sales rotation in Year 2.
Aesthetics Pathway
Our Allergan Aesthetics business is where we believe in the remarkable impact confidence can have for our customers, and their patients.
Programme highlights:
Year 1 or 2:
- PR & Communications: Support media, social media and communications activity while developing your storytelling and stakeholder engagement skills
- Marketing & Allergan Medical Institute (AMI): Help deliver marketing campaigns and educational initiatives that engage and support aesthetic professionals
- Business Excellence: Use data and insight to support planning, reporting and decision-making across the business
- International Marketing and Commercial Operations: Help bring global marketing strategies to life, working with teams across different countries to support campaigns, communications and brand growth
- In-field Sales: Build relationships with clinics and healthcare professionals while developing commercial skills in the aesthetics industry
Location: You must be able to commute to our Marlow Office.
Please note that flexibility regarding location may be required as part of the sales rotation.

You'll also need:
- A degree (any discipline) or equivalent experience
- A full UK driving license by the start of the programme in September 2027

Where We Work
Role is exclusively performed at a site or office and onsite presence is required. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
