Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:

Holds direct responsibility for the development and effective implementation of a local marketing plan for the Allergan Aesthetics Products, BOTOX and Volite. Works with Marketing Lead and regional multi-functional teams to envision, develop and deploy promotional plans, tactics and projects. Works with National Sales Manager team to ensure execution at local level to meet product sales and market share objectives. Co-manages Regional promotional budget for franchise/category. Perform in-field product training for all product specialists.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                              

  1. Development & Execution of local Strategic and Tactical Marketing Plans
  • Leads the in-country Franchise Team and ensures the team develops and executes local marketing plans in line with Regional marketing plans.
  • Contributes to the development of Regional marketing strategy with the Regional marketing team and acts as the co-ordinating and communications link between the Regional Brand Team and the in-country Franchise Team.
  • Develops local marketing plan in line with Regional marketing strategy and agrees with Marketing Lead, also agreeing split of promotional budget between local programs within country to achieve local market objectives.
  • Identifies clear roles and responsibilities for delivery of local marketing tactics and agrees with the Marketing Lead. Communicates the roles and responsibilities to relevant stakeholders including Sales Program team, Sales Management, Agencies.
  • Tracks implementation of activities in the local market plan working with agencies and country team to ensure timely and effective execution.
  • Reviews implementation of the local marketing plan and feeds back to Regional marketing team. Monitors local competitor activities (spending time in field to understand the local market) and ensures local organisation and regional marketing are kept up to date.
  • Trains country sales force in the execution of market programs and use of materials.
  • Collaborates with AMI lead (local) to co-ordinate plans with AMI training programme.
  • Manage local KOL development plans, local Congresses and new indication launches to ensure alignment with local Business Plan, Regional marketing strategy and Congress/Med Ed plans.
  1. Management of Promotional Materials
  • Collaborate with local SPM team to ensure Regional promotional materials, Congress and HCP Training materials and Trimester promotional materials are managed through local regulatory approval process and are translated and delivered in line with Regional marketing strategy and local market plan.
  • Reports on effectiveness of local materials and activities to agree local amendments with Regional marketing team and Marketing Lead.
  1. Sales & Budget Objectives                                                                                                          
  • Collaborates with local team to identify and implement all effective action necessary towards achievement of agreed sales targets for franchise and country.
  • Anticipates competitor strategy, makes recommendations to Marketing Lead and develops counter-plans.
  • Manages promotional budget to maximum effect ensuring effective spend to deliver sales and profit targets.
  1. Execute Marketing Strategy
  • Focus on building capabilities in the areas of Digital marketing as a key driver for market differentiation and business growth.
  • Build top class launch capabilities across Affiliate to  contribute to development of KSA business plan.
  • Ensure execution of local campaigns and activities maximising share growth for the brands.
  • Work with KOLs and strategic communication team to organise regional forums for delivery of product message.
  • Adapt global marketing materials and develop own KSA materials for use at local level, on an annual basis.
  • Execute materials in marketing forums and media, seeking feedback on effectiveness to amend as appropriate.
  • Ensure Sales Managers translate and execute promotional material for country in line with brand / product communication plan.
  • Develop guidelines for local Marketing co-coordinators on KOL programs etc. and monitor effectiveness of local promotional materials.
  • Ensure pre-marketing and launch tactics are optimised for new products/ re-branded products.
  • Work with Medical Affairs and strategic communication groups to plan co-ordinated approaches to overall strategy.
  • Ensure product knowledge of Allergan Aesthetics and competitor brands is consistently updated, current and relevant.
  • Ensure a basic understanding of digital marketing dynamics and social media marketing regulations
  1. Training:

•     Perform in-field training of all regional sales representatives

Qualifications

  • University degree in science, business or marketing
  • Pharmaceutical / Healthcare marketing and sales experience at a national level
  • Minimum of 2 years marketing experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device Industry
  • Fluency in English and preferably
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • High level of project management experience, ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
