Maintenance Tech II - Pipefitter/Welder

Able to read and layout own work off blueprints and drawings. Has the responsibility of choosing the welding method. Must be able to certify in certain types of welding to be able to perform job function
- Tests, inspects, replaces piping and pressure relief devices on production and facility equipment.
- Follows proper compliance, GxP, and safe work practices in accordance with established company policies
- Reviews maintenance logs and completes available work.
- Performs building walk-throughs to identify needed repairs and follows up with corrective action.
- Completes PM’s as scheduled.
- Maintains facility to ensure reliable and effective operation
- Decisions made and actions taken by this person will impact maintenance activity, plant safety, product throughput, as well as compliance.
- Must be trainable on passivation procedures and pickle paste procedures.
- Must be able to complete projects and installations in a timely manner, be organized and able to perform multiple task assignments.
- Must be able to solder using iron and properly set-up and operate Electric Shielded Metal Arc Welder (SMAC), Gas Cutting Equipment, Electric Inert Gas Welder (MIG) and Electric Gas Tungsten Inert Gas Welder (TIG).
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years related mechanical/maintenance experience in an industrial/commercial area.
