IT Business Analyst / Project Manager
The IT Business Analyst manager (BA manager) is responsible for supporting BT services to Allergan Aesthetics (AA) Japan business.
BA manager is a trusted advisor and partner to our growing AA Japan business, with a focus on managing relationships between business teams and increasing the value realized from BT's assets, investments, and capabilities.
Based in Tokyo, the position is for aligning BT solutions to the countries’ business strategies, prioritizing demand and BT services and align with the overall Japan strategies, BA manager will work closely with BTS Japan lead to mainly support Japan business team’s demand, to provide the IT solutions. It will also work closely with international BT to coordinate key business priorities.
BA manager will manage the demand and requirement from Japan business team and to solve with IT solution.
Once the solution provisioning defined as IT project, system implementation and delivery will be carried out by BA manager’s lead as Project manager/Project coordinator/PMO with utilizing vendor and contract-based employee resource.
BA manager will support both the immediate and long-term objectives under his/her responsibility. Position serves as liaison between local stakeholders and Global /Area BTS functions in the successful delivery of global key projects with Japan BTS lead.
BA manager will mainly communicate with Commercial department (Sales, Marketing, Digital Marketing, SCM/CS,
Business Excellence etc.) to understand their needs based on the business strategy with Japan BTS lead.
BA manager will be involved in solution provisioning to non-commercial department such as Finance, Medical, Regulatory
and other department especially for contributing operational excellence for their business processes.
IT BA Manager communicate respective counter part of BTS International/Area team with Japan BTS lead.
•Partners and communicates with business department to understand their needs, then propose solutions
to contribute for their business goals achievement.
•Support and contribute to make business strategy based on IT trend and technique by researching and
provide recommendations on end-to-end system capabilities to drive productivity, connectivity and data intelligence
•Leverage existing both local and global Information Technology capabilities, standards and
best practices to drive these platforms and applications for Allergan Aesthetic Japan. Examples include and
are not limited to: Salesforce.com, Veeva, Master data management system, Data management platform,
latest Microsoft Applications such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate (RPA), O365. Other examples
to be identified based on business department needs.
•Identify opportunities for synergies and collaboration within and across different business areas
•Manages IT Project for system implementation and IT solution provisioning with aligning with
IT project management methodology.
•Supports users for business application by interacting with appropriate person in charge and collaborate
with external solution vendor and International/Area counterpart engineer.
•Follows System Development Lifecycle Management (SDLC) for local application and solution.
All the process for creation and modification of the system must be documented and approved
by SDLC methodology to be compliant with our policy.
•Identify and run experiments to pilot future Information Technology capabilities.
•Responsible for compliance with, and awareness in the affiliate of, applicable Corporate and local IT policies and procedures. Support BTS lead for internal BTS audits
•When major event occurs, which needs IT support and involvement especially for IT Infrastructure Technical aspect, its contribution is required.
•Manage 3rd vendors to run project and operational activities.
•Serves as the dedicated Information technology point-of-contact for Allergan Aesthetic Japan
to enable seamless execution of business strategy and lead execution of Information Technology tactics.
•Monitor, manage, and provide regular updates on local system security and quality
•Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•10+ years of experience in IT department and 5+ years in IT Business Application group
Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies
•Strong verbal and written communication skills both in English and Japanese are required
•Deep knowledge in CRM, Master data management and data analytics platform including Cloud/SaaS solution
•Collaborative attitude to work with various team members and managing vendor relationships effectively
•Good understanding of IT Project management and CSV (Computerized System Validation) methodology
•Experience of IT system support for Business Application to be able to help isolate and
troubleshoot complex technical problems and failures
•Knowledge in Database design, development, and management
•Experience building and operating an analysis environment using BI Tool
•Ability to interact with business leaders in non-IT conversations
•Great team player with a commitment to contribute to the organization’s performance
•Experience with agile methodology approach to meet with fast moving and growing Abbvie culture
