AbbVie US Commercial Organization is looking for a Marketing Automation Technical Lead to be part of the Strategic Initiatives and Architecture team in the digital transformation journey to architect, design, implement and execute projects & operations of Marketing Automation Platform to deliver omni-channel personalized experience to consumers & patients across all brands within US.
This position will report to Associate Director of Marketing Activation (Consumer & Patient), and will work across BTS Business Relationship Managers, Patient Services Marketing and Consumer marketing organizations to develop and optimize the Marketing automation & technology platforms to deliver seamless, unified, and right experience to consumers & patients.
This position is expected to conceive, design, engineer, and implement data and software solutions that solve significant business problems and implement state-of-the-art marketing technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains across Patient Services and consumer marketing functional areas.
This position will play a significant role in leading the strategy, implementation and operations of the marketing automation and technology platforms. This position is expected to act as a lead in his/her area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant technological advances and integrate this knowledge into new business technology solutions.
Lead the architecture and design strategy of the Marketing Automation Platform that will be built as part of Digital Marketing Hub to deliver omni-channel personalized experience to prospects and patients throughout their journey.
Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that remarkably demonstrate the Salesforce platform and facilitate business outcomes.
Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with business objectives
Conduct formal technical research and define adoption process to solve business problems and improve patient and prospect experiences
Design and architect strategies to integrate marketing automation platform with existing and new technologies including but not limited to: SFDC Service Cloud/Health Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager / marketing cloud products, data warehouses hosted in AWS, etc.
Lead the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation.
Recognize process inefficiencies across our Salesforce delivery methodology and drive continuous process improvement.
Assist in the development and activation of marketing automation campaign metadata; standards / nomenclature / taxonomy, governance model and change management.
Run technical scopes and client expectations and provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to developers.
Support optimizations of DevOps process for marketing automation platform to gain productivity improvements and reduce the time taken to move the committed code to production.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology providers, and other architects to develop roadmap for marketing automation & technology implementations.
Demonstrate creative 'out of the box' thinking to solve difficult problems and champion new technologies to achieve project goals.
Independently responsible for technology within his/her area of expertise on multiple projects. Demonstrate mastery across a wide range of data and software engineering, including data warehousing, data integration, and software development.
Design and lead the execution of test plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered and demonstrate technical thought leadership.
Build and develop relationships with a large cross-functional team including but not limited to affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, and industry peers in accordance with Abbvie Values, Vendor Management Office, and Purchasing to further the mission, vision, and goals of the organization.
Will mentor a cross-functional team on marketing automation/technology platforms and use case development and deployments.
Participate in talent and recruiting activities to help build and grow our team.
Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Minimum 3 years of SFMC platform experience (5+ years preferred).
Knowledge of Salesforce product suite including Salesforce 1, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Platform, and the App Exchange.
Requires in‐depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle, client area’s functions and systems, and systems application program development technological alternatives.
Demonstrate deep knowledge and experience working in complex industries, and have utilized this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
At least 4 years of leadership experience as Architect in server side, client side, and cloud technologies.
At least 4 years of experience in Marketing Automation Platform design and implementation.
Proven expertise in building and delivering large scale service-oriented system architecture.
Possess deep knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, it’s features/functionalities and the channel applications within the platform.
Broad knowledge of Information Technology Systems, with strong understanding of the relationship between business processes, applications, databases, operating systems, processing platforms, storage platforms, security systems, and networks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly explain options and alternatives, and rationale for associated recommendations.
Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge in a fast-paced, business, and technical environment.
Flexibility in designing systems - including leveraging new or emerging technologies.
Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
