  • Generate cell lines and conduct assays for screening candidate antibodies and other recombinant biologics from pipeline projects across different therapeutic areas.
  • Design, execute and optimize functional assays for characterizing antibodies using robotic liquid handlers.


  • Develop, characterize, and optimize transient and stable cell lines that are used in luminescence and fluorescence based reporter assays, for screening antibodies and other recombinant biologics.
  • Design, optimize, and execute binding assays (e.g. ELISA, flow cytometry) and functional assays (e.g. luminescent and fluorescent reporter cell assays, adhesion, aggregation, phagocytosis, internalization, live-cell imaging etc) for antibody screening and characterization. 
  • Carry out high-throughput screening (HTS) assays using robotic liquid handlers.
  • Collaborate efficiently across different functional groups to achieve goals within project timelines.
  • Analyze data, prepare reports and technical presentations to communicate progress to project teams.


  • BS or equivalent education with typically 7 or more years of experience or MS or equivalent education with typically 5 or more years of experience.
  • Expertise in transient and stable cell line generation through chemical transfection, electroporation and lentiviral transduction methods is required.
  • Expertise in conducting and optimizing assays for antibody characterization and functional screening using FACS, ELISA, luminescence/fluorescent cell-based assays, and live cell imaging is required.
  • Demonstrate ability to independently design, execute and interpret experiments, and master new experimental techniques
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to multi-task and work within timelines
