We are looking for a Legal Counsel (all genders) - limited contract 18 months starting June

Key Responsibilities:

The AbbVie Legal Team looks for a generalist attorney to provide actionable legal advice and counsel to AbbVie´s businesses in Germany and potentially elsewhere in Europe. Responsibilities will include analysis of complex matters and provision of legal advice focused on business-oriented solutions to brand teams, project leads and senior management on a wide range of subjects.

As a Legal Counsel at Abbvie you will have the opportunity to get deep and broad insights into virtually all facets of the pharmaceutical business. Depending on skills and preferences as well as current business priorities, this may consist of contract negotiations with R&D collaboration partners, the resolution of disputes with long-term service providers in our operations business as well as the strategic advice on innovative commercial projects and initiatives created in our brand teams.

In addition, the Legal Counsel may be asked to defend AbbVie´s interests in litigation proceedings with the support of external counsel, to interact with various public authorities that oversee our activities in all business areas and represent AbbVie positions in various fora within the pharmaceutical industry.

Desired Skills:

Understanding and experience in the following areas is desirable:

•           Commercial & contract law (national and cross-border contracts)

•           Public Procurement & Reimbursement (SGB V)

•           National and EU competition law

•           Pharmaceutical Advertising law (HWG)

•           Pharmaceutical Regulatory law

•           Litigation practice and procedure

Languages: fluent in German and English

Experience & Education Requirements:

1st and 2nd German State Exam in Law required; LL.M. or MBA are a plus.

1 - 3 years of relevant professional experience or pharma-specific academic qualifications.

Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus, but we welcome anyone who brings passion and motivation
