Scope: We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Linux Systems Engineer to partner alongside our System Architects with day-to-day Linux operations and join our dynamic and growing global Scientific Linux team.  This person will be responsible for engineering a global Linux platform supporting R & D Scientists globally.

- Strong working knowledge of Linux systems (4+ years)

- Ability to write, deploy, and debug containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Compose) (2+ years)

- Advanced skills in Docker design and deployment (2+ years)

- Cloud computing experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) (2+ years)

- Understanding of, and experience with Configuration Management tools and methodologies

- CaC – Configuration as code (JSON, YAML, HashiCorp HCL, etc.)

- IaC – Infrastructure as code (Cloud formation, Terraform, etc.)

- Ability to develop systems automation using DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

- Operational experience using version control tools (Git, CVS, SVN)

- Familiarity with scripting (Shell, Python, Perl, or other programming languages)

- Flexibility to collaborate with teams in multiple time zones (when needed)

- Excited to learn new technologies and curious by nature

- Enthusiastic about developing partnerships with world class scientists and professionals

- Bachelor's Degree with 6 years' experience; Master's Degree with 5 years' experience, or equivalent

- Preferred experience:

    -Experience managing Linux-based, high-performance computing

    - Prior work in Healthcare, Pharma, or Biopharma

    - Knowledge of data classification

· The salary range is (minimum: $ 83,500 to maximum: $ 163,500) 

· This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive program
