We are recruiting an Engineering Services Manager/Facilities Management to join our site in Manorhamilton Road, Sligo. The Engineering Services Manager will provide an Engineering service to the plant, in order to maximise the availability of Utility Equipment and Facilities. This person will ensure continual compliance with the policies relating to Personnel, Safety, Quality, Engineering and Finance and control all relevant engineering budgets. The Engineering Services Manager will develop the Engineering team with the emphasis on continual operational improvements and employee development. They will ensure the performance of day to day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain utility and plant related equipment and liaise with Production to ensure equipment performance is maximised.

A snapshot of your key responsibilities as an Engineering Services Manager/Facilities Management would be:
- Establish with the Engineering and EHS&E Manager the department goals, schedules and timetables for activities.
- Form a proactive team capable of resolving any potential issues in advance of problems occurring.
- Assist with the management and supporting of utilities equipment development.
- Leadership of the site Maintenance Excellence Programme
- Maintenance of utilities, facilities and tank farm equipment.
- Responsible for management and leadership of site Energy Management activities.
- Generate and maintain the calibration program.
- Maintain and advance the electrical and instrumentation infrastructure.
- Manage the facilities and utilities contracts and daily requirements.
- Manage housekeeping and security contracts.
- Develop monthly engineering metrics and monitor.
- Ensure successful External, Division and Corporate audits.
- Completion of instrument calibration as per schedule.
- Identification and implementation of engineering service related CIP’s.
- Management of relevant budgets within target.
- Cross train within manufacturing engineering.
- Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to.
- Implementation of equipment/process upgrade in an environment of continuous improvement.
- Support the Engineering Team in ensuring that manufacturing equipment is maintained to meet the required legal, divisional and corporate standards.
- Liaise with Division Engineering as required.
- Ensure the effective management of appropriate internal and external plant projects.
- Implementation of all relevant policies relating to Personnel, Quality, Engineering & Safety.
- Supervise external contractors.
- Negotiate cost / quality effective external contracts.
- Prepare appropriate CAPA plans and implement timelines.
- Required to undertake specific investigations, and equipment monitoring, with the view to improve manufacturing performance e.g. reducing plant downtime and maximizing Plant output and yield.
- Adheres to and supports all EHS & E standards, procedures and policies.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Ideally Engineering or Relevant Discipline.
- 2 years plus of Experience as an Engineering Supervisor.
- 5 years plus of Experience as an Engineer.
- Total combined minimum years of experience required 6.
