Automation Engineer

  • Design and implement process automation systems and solutions, to control and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure good performance of the process automation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs).
  • Support the development of production recipes and devising automation solutions that improve productivity, business operations and safety/quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot automation system related issues in manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of automation system, proactively address potential safety and quality issues, regularly review and address frequent occurring alarms.
  • Participate or lead quality or safety investigations and implement any automation solutions resultant from these investigations.
  • Monitor and maintain automation systems and ensure system operations are optimized.
  • Ensure periodic preventive maintenance of automation systems are carried out and perform periodic review of automation systems.
  • Any other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications - Basic

  • Degree or Masters in Engineering (Chemical / Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation / Pharmaceutical)
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant work experience in Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical / Aerospace / Chemical / Energy & Power / Oil & Gas industries is preferred0 - 2 years of relevant work experience in Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical / Aerospace / Chemical / Energy & Power / Oil & Gas industries is preferred
  • Fresh Graduate is welcomed to apply.
  • Ideal qualification in Instrumentation Engineering


Qualification – Preferred

  • Basic experience in Control Systems especially DeltaV, Siemens etc. preferably in Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Possess an enquiring and analytical mind and have a knack for investigating issues, analysing multifaceted engineering problems and developing solutions.
  • Must also be a strong team player who can guide and mentor others, and communicate technical advices and solutions to colleagues beyond the team.
