Manager, Marketing – Corneal Drops

Job Summary:

  • Develop and manage brand budgeting and planning on a regular basis including Dry eye and Allergy products (Alliance business) e.g., UPD, PLN, LRP, Brand plan, KPI
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for Corneal drop portfolios in Korea. Design branding campaign in align with product positioning to doctors, nurses, and potential customers.
  • Drive expansion with External eye drop portfolios and prepare Presbyopia drop market expansion
  • Develop and implement effective marketing mix to maximize ROI.
  • Build up and maintain professional relationships with KOLs in Korea 
  • Lead collaboration efforts with other functions and to align with Global marketing strategy and to carry out execution plans accordingly


Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Design Corneal drops marketing strategy and execution plans and carry out
  • Coordinate the short-term & mid-term sales forecast process based on solid market insights and assumptions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with HCPs to ensure the brand value proposition
  • Develop effective promotional materials for HCPs as well as provide solid product training to sales team to improve promotion effectiveness.  
  • 5Develop the customer engagement plan to enhance the customer awareness and preference of product differentiation.
  • Ensure the integrity of Corneal drops marketing activities in accordance with local, regional and corporate compliance policies.
  • Lead collaboration efforts with other functions and marketing managers



Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with more than 10 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Preferrable experience of Eye care Marketing/Sales including OTC or Business Development for alliance

  • Ability to learn and convey clinical and non-clinical information effectively
  • Strong team, leadership, planning and written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, to lead and influence key decision makers
  • Ability to work within team and independently
  • Good English both in oral and writing

Business Case:

  • The position has high strategic responsibility, develops brand and product marketing strategy and execute plan together with brand teams. The position works very collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including consumer marketing, PR, sales and medical colleagues. At team and function level, across Korea
  • The position requires an excellent comprehensive set of business acumen, such as market trend, industry, customer insight, business analysis, commercial environment, organizational skills and very good time management.
  • The position needs excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, high-level of innovation is required
  • The position has high impact on country performance in glaucoma clinic market
  • Very strong interpersonal skills (communication, influencing and negotiation) are needed for this position, as this position has broad interaction both internally and externally
