Responsible for supporting the digital transformation of the Puerto Rico Affiliate in San Juan area and working Hybrid (3 days in office and 2 remote). This implies the evolution of educational and promotional materials for brands and functional areas. Provide tech consultancy and flawless project execution to apply adequate technology to business needs in a sustainable way. Drive Digital innovation and excellence into the operational areas; enhance projects with digital components and provide Brand Teams and In-Field Teams with innovative solutions. Work in close collaboration with Brand Teams to bring an educated externally focused perspective on the trends and advancements in technology, relevant to business priorities, which will help shape brand and functional strategies, and actively impact key digital initiatives (e.g., Patient journey, In Field Teams culture) to assure goals execution according to strategic definitions.           


  • Responsible for planning and implementation of technology solutions, as part of a multichannel digital strategy, in the affiliate.
  • Project Management: Support the development and prioritization of Digital or Business Technology projects. Plan and manage the end-to-end design and implementation schedules and resources. Ensure that content is created and developed in accordance with internal client business requirements, objectives, goals, and timeframes and observing AbbVie´s internal policies.
  • Acts as a single point of contact between AbbVie and vendors to ensure projects are progressing and vendor issues/questions are resolved in a timely manner. Maintains ongoing communication with vendors to ensure timelines and changes are aligned with expectations and business needs. Develops contingency plans and provides solutions to facilitate business success, and coordinates logistics to ensure timely production, fulfillment, and shipment /delivery of digital materials.
  • ProMo: Support the approval of digital projects through the materials review process; Establishing timelines to ensure that all items for review are scheduled in an effective and efficient manner to meet business needs; Facilitation of collaboration meetings, including concept kick-offs and detailed collaboration.
  • Communication: Promote digital solutions and the value they bring to the organization. Communicate clearly and accurately to various levels of management individually and in group settings. Consider the utilization of analytics strategies for solutions and use data to measure digital traffic. Use data to identify gaps and opportunities for future developments. Serve as a resource and measurement of effectiveness.
  • Building Teams: Work closely with internal stakeholders to share best practices, identify process improvements and increase the value of the Digital Content. Coach and mentor vendors, peers, design managers, and business partners on best practices and opportunities for improvements to ensure continuous team development.
  • BTS: Provide first-level support for the suite of applications supported by the Affiliate BTS Department.  Act as liaison with Affiliate stakeholders to support or executing monthly processes related to data extractions or data loads for ancillary applications.
    Lead Launch Readiness program at the Affiliate to support the Brand Teams collaboration process for new products.



  • B.A./B.S./Business, Computer Science or Information Technology, Communications or Advertising (MBA not required, but desirable) or equivalent business experience within AbbVie or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Digital Marketing Certification with background in systems and documentation a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management. Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Web Design and/or Digital Marketing. Demonstrated experience with start-to-finish planning/executing multi-channel digital marketing programs, including websites, email, emerging media tactics, mobile (apps/sites/media/SMS), SEO/SEM, social media/social listening.
    Acumen for how digital agencies operate: scope of work process/mgmt., timelines. Proven track record of building digital solutions and strategies.
  • Data analysis experience is preferable.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of measuring the impact of digital marketing including website analytics, email analytics, social analytics, and SEO measurement/management. Experience identifying and outlining key campaign metrics (KPIs) and building campaign measurement plans/marketing analytics.
  • Experience with personalization, 1:1 approaches/data capture techniques (i.e.. email, addressable media, dynamic web), application of legal/privacy terms & conditions.
    Strong problem-solving abilities in complex, compliance-regulated departments. Strong track record of success in managing multiple, complex project needs and collaborating across internal & external stakeholders.
