We are presently recruiting for a Health Education Manager, Rheumatoid Arthritis. The incumbent will be an active member of the newly created AbbVie medical Institute. In this role, you will be responsible to identify HCPs learning needs and develop multiple health education initiatives customized to address them This role will be office based in Montreal (St-Laurent) and will report to the Manager, Health Education team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and development of the health education plan in line with the Brand strategic imperatives.
- Execute,need based, innovative OLAs and CHE tactics measurable by defined KPI’s designed to advance HCPs knowledge, attitude and skills with the goal of improving patient outcomes .
- Monitor scientific literature and market trends to ensure leading edge program and material content.
- Serve as subject matter expert on selection of most appropriate and engaging educational formats and channels in alignment with therapeutic area priorities, external customer needs, guidelines and regulations.
- Transform the identified educational or insight gaps into successfully implemented solutions.
- Translate stakeholder’s needs and Brand imperatives against measurable objectives and expected outcomes, closing the care gap. Accountable for ensuring the delivery of relevant, innovative, engaging and balanced learning programs.
- Manage vendor selection and support steering committee content development.
- Present health education plans to internal stakeholders to obtain buy-in and support ensuring budget, timeline, scope and execution tools are in place.
- Leverage networking skills to identify and cultivate relationship with external and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Brand, Faculty, Universities, and Associations) to deliver effective presentations, facilitate meetings or present value proposition to HCPs.
- Ensure that all AbbVie’s health education initiatives meet the highest ethical standards, namely: Innovative Medicine Canada, National Accreditation Standards, Canadian Medical Association requirements, as well as internal policies to ensure programs meet ethics and compliance criteria.
Education / Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent.
- Certification in CHE/CPD (CCPE) or equivalent obtained or to be started within one year.
- Relevant business experience with a proven track record of success within the biotech / pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in Health Education is a strong asset.
- In depth knowledge of biopharma and healthcare industry sector.
- Sales or Medical field-based position experience (minimum 3 years).
- In depth scientific background therapeutic area and knowledge of RA (UC and CD) is a defined asset.
- Experience working with agencies is an asset.
- Strong prior project management experience in health care industry.
- Strong, demonstrated skills in analysis, planning, implementation.
- Knowledge of various National health education environments, accrediting bodies and systems in Canada.
- Knowledge of various Ethical /IMC, CMA, standards dynamics and environment.
Essential skills & abilities:
- Fluid in French and English will be considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Must be at ease with technology (the use of various tools/systems to perform day-to-day tasks).
