Technology Lead, AbbVie Endocrinology
North Chicago, Illinois Req ID 2208611 Category Manufacturing & Operations Division AbbVieThe Technology Lead provides subject matter expertise and leadership in a supportive role for key technology platforms used to run the daily operation. The Technology Lead applies advanced knowledge of the business processes and business user roles to ensure the technology platforms drive an effective daily operation and business user experience. The Technology Lead drives continuous improvements through system enhancements, adoption of technology solutions and proactively working through impacts of system changes. The Technology Lead position requires the individual to be able to perform the core job responsibilities of the business user so that the individual can drive user acceptance testing on the technology platforms. The Technology Lead must be able to balance workload between immediate troubleshooting needs of the daily operation and strategic priorities regarding system enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Educate and coach production staff on the use of technology platforms.
Work cross-functionally to learn system requirements and workflows, devise system test objectives,
strategies and plans, and work with business users to plan, design and execute appropriate test cases for
thorough quality assurance of the system application
Analyze, build, and validate data sets used to drive business process automation.
Adapt technology platform reports for business specific needs.
Coordinate issues resolution and system troubleshooting, identify potential areas of risk, and make
recommendations for process improvements.
Meet or exceed department standards relative to performance metrics. Take responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day execution of tasks and is responsible for providing periodic progress reports on goals and metrics.
Maintain an understanding of current business procedures, deviations, and case processing for all brands and channel sources by supporting production part-time.
Perform additional tasks, activities, and projects as deemed necessary by leadership.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Degree preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in a healthcare or reimbursement setting Demonstrated strong, accurate technical skills with attention to detail. Must have strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to quickly understand key business requirements, workflows and impacts to business and system applications. Proven leadership and coaching skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and participate within a team, manage multiple priorities and meet associated timelines while maintaining accuracy. Professional written and verbal communication skills are required. Proven organizational and problem-solving skills, elevating to management when appropriate Ability to work effectively, independently, and with others in a collaborative, deadline-sensitive environment. Skilled with the use of the Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to use and effectively learn and navigate other computer systems.
