Talent Development Manager - Functional Lead

KEY ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE

Lead targeted talent development efforts aligned to and in support of the highest prioritized needs of the business.

Leverage existing Talent Development resources to provide relevant development solutions for people leader development.  This may include resources, workshops, cohort learning, enterprise solutions, etc.

Own and lead Talent Development specific enterprise projects that support enterprise related talent initiatives.

Partner with learning leaders/development partners and functional stakeholders to scale and deliver enterprise and leadership solutions, messaging and narrative related to development.

ADDITIONAL AREAS OF FOCUS:

The Talent Development Manager serves in a critical role with the intent to build better leaders for AbbVie.  This involves designing development solutions and journeys that raise the performance of leaders.  The TD Manager partners with business leaders, functional/area learning leaders, talent and HR team members and external experts to bring forward focused development solutions.  The TD Manager leverages internal and external data as a primary practice resource and tool.

The TD Manager will take initiative and proactively engage with the business.  The right individual has a polished professional presence and can use data to confidently make decisions and act.

Manage projects and events to activate learning solutions.  Be the in-the-know person to oversee, troubleshoot, and make decisions that lead to expected project outcomes.  Assume responsibility for project quality and integrity.

Conduct evaluation and reporting on the impact/results brought about by the delivery of learning and development solutions through key performance indicators.

Proactively work with business embedded development partners to design and implement talent and organization plans.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Existing performance consulting capabilities
• Keen understanding of how to develop talent
