Account Manager Eye Care

The Role

As Account Manager (AM) Eye Care you will manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts in south of Sweden focusing on our products for retina diseases and glaucoma. You collaborate and build strong customer relationships and customer needs solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, always placing the patient in the center in accordance with AbbVie’s values and guiding principles. You will be responsible for all commercial planning and activities in the defined territory to grow the Eye Care business and establish strong leadership for our products within hospitals.

The AM is part of the cross-functional In-Field Sales Team consisting of Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Public- and External Affairs among other functions. You will in close collaboration with your peers drive and execute brand strategies, implement tactics, drive sales performance and set strong account plans.


To be successful in this position we expect you to have a strong business acumen and some prior experience from Life sciences within sales, preferably within the area of Ophthalmology/ Eyecare.

•    Certified Medical Sales Representative 
•    Experience and proven results in Hospital sales (Ophthalmology environment appreciated)
•    Solid & consistent track record of account management from pharmaceutical/life science industry 
•    Knowledge of Swedish Healthcare system (organization, funding, regulation)
•    Healthcare, Business and/or Scientific degree
•    Excellent Swedish and English language skills, both verbally and in writing

If you have therapeutical area knowledge within Ophthalmology/ Eyecare that is a great advantage for this position.

Additional information
This is a field-based commercial position requiring extensive travel, mostly within the territory/Sweden. This position reports to Sales Manager Scandinavia.
