Associate Marketing Director, US Payer Market Access- Neuroscience

Supports US Market Access Neuroscience marketing strategy for BOTOX’s in line indications, and for pipeline work, as assigned. Effectively orchestrates communication and alignment across the Payer, Supply Chain, IBT,VAT, HEOR, GA, MABI channels and serve as a US Market Access subject matter expert for the Neuroscience Brand Team. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute on in-line indications as assigned, in collaboration with key stakeholders such as marketing analytics and business intelligence, clinical development, medical affairs, HEOR, GA, medical and regulatory review, OEC, and legal). 
  • Contribute to strategic development of pipeline assets as assigned, in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Work with Government Affairs and Health Policy Account Executive team on evolving Part B CMS strategy. Support the coordination of relevant stakeholder involvement for Part B wastage change for 2023. Help support GA with modeling to assess the impact for 2023. Lead communication to brand on strategy and impact.
  • Help build value propositions that convey the clinical and economic value of Botox /pipeline assigned assets by understanding and articulating the business implications and economic impact for each stakeholder by working with HEOR, Medical, Brand and MABI teams.
  • Drive primary market research activities designed to inform launch strategy and development of value proposition as needed for the supported brands.
  • Market Access lead for IBTs, VAT, Manage BOTOX Specialty Pharmacies in the limited distribution network in coordination with Supply Chain team, including overseeing quarterly business reviews, performance metrics, and collaborating with all stakeholders to improve patient access to therapy and streamline BOTOX Rx to Ship processes.
  • Work with Global Market Access, US Brand, US Pipeline, MABI team for analysis, strategy and action plan recommendations to senior leadership and cross functional leadership as Market Access lead on assigned role.
  • As directed lead inline indication market access strategy, includes but not limited to IBT representation and 175 lead for market access.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand clinical aspects of a pharmaceutical product, reimbursement dynamics, related interdependencies and its application to marketing strategy and tactical execution 
  • Serve as the US Market Access and reimbursement subject matter expert by providing Global Commercial Development and Global Market Access and Pricing teams a thorough understanding of US Managed Care environment through membership of pipeline commercialization model for relevant product Value and Access Teams (VATs).
  • Execute an All For One Abbvie “Team” mindset in all strategies.
  • Lead market research across portfolio as directed by business needs

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree required to enable this individual to demonstrate an appropriate level of business acumen, the ability to process scientific information and financial analysis. MBA preferred
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience required and or market related access experience. 
  • Market Access experience with buy and bill experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Neuroscience experience preferred
  • 3 years of US Market Access experience preferred.
  • Pre- launch activities and Market Access launch experience
  • Knowledge of Part B/ Part B DME marketplace, government pricing codes and reimbursement
  • Experience with Supply Chain and associated contract negotiations
  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience with buy and bill products and reimbursement
