Associate Director, HCP Marketing- Migraine

The HCP Associate Director will be responsible to design, develop, and implement commercial plans and programs needed to successfully promote in an increasingly competitive landscape with a key focus on specific segments.  The Associate Director will work closely with multiple commercial operation departments ensure success in strategic direction above brand and in field tactics.  Internally, the Associate Director will foster positive working relationships with medical affairs, market research, sales training, regulatory, and other cross franchise marketing teams.  Externally, the Associate Director works with various agencies and consultants, physicians, and partners to successfully leverage migraine resources for economies of scale with key stakeholders.  The Marketing Director must demonstrate the ability to lead, work with ambiguity, and build a collaborative relationship with cross-functional partners.


 Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop QULIPTA resources and partner across the portfolio to drive Gepant/AbbVie leading market share

  • Coordinate communication across stakeholders for customer consistency

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and advocacy groups where appropriate

  • Direct marketing activities to targeted audiences ensuring that communications are aligned to segment-specific drivers

  • Partner with medical, legal, and regulatory teams to review and approve promotional activities

  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate

  • Lead market research and patient immersions to better understand market drivers and dynamics and to “get in the shoes” of our consumers and HCP

  • Monitor and analyze all sources of company and industry sales and marketing data

  • Partner with social media team to develop strategies and content for the social media channels; proactively recommend strategies to improve/refine campaigns to achieve broader consideration and drive conversion and test new platforms

  • Lead the management and maintenance of brand websites, coordinate with internal development team to ensure web updates are planned and deployed in a timely fashion.

  • Proactively support the sales force through ongoing communications of product plans, as well as through development and implementation of effective selling materials

  • Effectively manage multiple agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and allocated budget

  • Manage internal/external networks, consultants, and agency partners

  • Communicate up, down, and laterally in an effective manner

  • Develop and manage overall professional budget



  • MBA

  • 5+ years Pharmaceutical marketing experience

  • Knowledge of marketing concepts within strategic planning process.

  • Strong presentation experience and proficient PowerPoint skills

  • Strong analytical skills with primary and secondary data

  • Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results through others and influencing others.

Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
