As part of our continued growth and development, we are hiring for our leadership team in Packaging Area in our Ludwigshafen site. We are looking for a highly motivated Production Manager (all genders) Packaging with a knack for both quick & easy solutions as well as meticulous tinkering. Do you like thinking outside the box? Your Responsibilities:

  • be part of the Packaging Department with indirect leadership function
  • be responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of drug supplies of the highest quality for rest of world supply
  • represent the Packaging Manager Humira for all operation functions during absence
  • ensure drug supply continuity for all marketed products. On time, on cost and to the required quality and regulatory standards
  • apply current requirements and guidance (e.g. international and national laws) related to manufacturing and quality control
  • follow established policies, procedures, and practices, in accordance with best practices and current regulatory expectations to ensure compliance
  • Show an understanding of the issues relevant to the organization/business and be able to express them to the team
  • provide leadership for manufacturing processes and projects
  • support regulatory strategies & deliverables for marketed products
  • be the responsible person (Leiter der Herstellung) for packaging according to §12 AMWHV
  • drive the implementation of new products and equipment
  • develop strategic plans and proactively anticipates innovation, quality improvements, and cost reduction opportunities for new and existing products
  • create and maintains liaisons between functional groups as well as sister divisions 
  • drive staff performance to achieve strategic objectives in alignment with the manufacturing strategy
  • drive a continuous improvement of cultural thinking including encouraging new ideas and challenging status quo
  • support Staff Development:  Assists in growth plan development, conducts regular 1:1 meetings, provides constructive feedback, encouragement, and initiates recognition opportunities. Recommends job related course/conferences for skill improvements 
  • initiate individual and team recognition
  • ensure direct reports stay current on their training and provides guidance. 
  • demonstrate accountability and responsibility for EHS performance and compliance through active participation and support of AbbVie’s EHS Program
  • manage key financial, quality and EHS performance indicators and effectively all personnel issues, develop people and act a as supervisor, trainer and mentor of trainees.
  • represent the Production Unit in audits and inspections as subject matter extpert
Qualifications:
  • you hold a graduate degree in pharmacy, natural science or a related field
  • you are experienced in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years leadership experience
  • you have proven expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and knowledge of project planning and managing skills
  • you understand business needs and impact of regulatory issues on these
  • you demonstrate strong experience performing root cause analysis and problem solving within a GMP environment
  • you show a hands on experience using Operational Excellence/Six Sigma principles to achieve continuous improvements
  • you work effectively across divisions and in complex matrixes environment whilst being an excellent communicator with the ability to motivate and to inspire 
  • you have excellent communication skills in German and are fluent in English for being ready to be part of a global acting company
