Senior International Tax Analyst

  • Job Title: Senior Tax Analyst, International

    The International Senior Tax Analyst will join the Corporate Tax Department and play an important role within the International Tax Operations team.  This position will primarily be responsible for supporting the income tax provision and tax compliance for AbbVie’s international operations.  In addition, the Senior International Tax Analyst will assist with complex projects and strategic initiatives. 

    •Quantify and model the impact of tax planning strategies and legislative and regulatory developments. Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills through collaboration with tax team members, escalation of issues appropriately, and sharing results with team members and leadership. 

    •Preparation of international compliance and provision work, including preparation of forms and statements, international tax computations such as GILTI and Subpart F, and supporting schedules and documentation.

    •Prepare international aspects of the US GAAP tax provision, analysis of tax accounts and reserves, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

    •Monitor changes in U.S. and foreign tax legislation.  Demonstrate ability to research tax issues, and be proficient in interpreting and applying tax laws, regulations and cases to specific transactions and factual situations.

    •Collaborate with tax team members and business team members to determine tax impacts of changing business operations.

    •Assist with special projects, including planning initiatives, process improvements, and tax technology implementation.

  • Qualifications:

    •B.A./B.S. in Accounting/Finance required. CPA and/or MST a plus, but not required

    •3+ Years related experience beyond the degree or Masters plus related experience. Public Accounting or Fortune 500 Corporate Tax experience preferred

    •Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 

    •CorpTax experience preferred, but not required.
